Politico Worries that Russia Investigation Will Boomerang on Democrats

Although the liberal media is purposely avoiding the fact that the Trump-Russia collusion investigation is, as CNN's Van Jones noted in a candid moment, a big "nothing burger" most of the public has already reached that conclusion. Thus far Bob Mueller and his team of Democrat-donating investigators have only come up with a quickie inconclusive 20 minute meeting between Donald Trump, Jr. and a Russian lawyer. Hardly time for "collusion." This might explain why they are now on a fishing expedition for matters completely unrelated to Russia.

Meanwhile the public appears to be fed up with the Russia investigation to nowhere and the Mueller fishing expedition. As a result Politico is now worried that this will boomerang upon the Democrats in upcoming elections. Politico's David Siders worries about this today in Democrats fear Russia probe blowback:

Democrats are increasingly conflicted about how forcefully to press the issue of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Fearful of alienating voters who appear more concerned about the economy and health care, Democrats campaigning in districts across the country are de-emphasizing Russia in their rhetoric — and some are warning that a persistent focus on the Russia investigation could backfire.

Better tell that to Maxine Waters. Reclaiming my time!

In a state that is critical to the party’s efforts to retake the House, Darry Sragow, a Democratic strategist whose California Target Book handicaps races in California, called Russia a “distraction” and said Democrats “are going to be in deep, deep trouble if they don’t start talking about what voters care about.”

Too bad for you some Democrats are absolutely fixated upon Trumpeachment. Reclaiming my time!

...a plurality of voters in the POLITICO/Morning Consult poll said Congress should not seek to impeach Trump. An earlier Harvard-Harris Poll found nearly two-thirds of American voters say investigations into Trump and Russia are hurting the country.

Perhaps that is because, as Politico conveniently fails to note, there has been no actual evidence of any Trump-Russia collusion. ...Reclaiming my time!

California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom, who’s running for governor, was even more direct in a recent appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” The Russia investigation, he said, “doesn’t do anything for Democrats at all … It’s a loser.”

I would love to see Newsom tell that directly to the face of California Congresswoman Maxine Waters. ...Reclaiming my time!

Republican House members believe they have little cause for concern on Russia, with many echoing Trump’s charge that the investigation is “fake news.”

Yeah, fake news. And the good news for Republican candidates (supporting Trump) is that there will be a constant Democrat reminder out there that will ensure the Russia investigation to nowhere will continue to be pushed thus nationalizing the midterm elections to Democrat detriment.

Reclaiming my time! Reclaiming my time!
