Obama Voters Demonstrate How Their Views Shaped by MSM

This is a video that is both extremely funny as well as very sad. It shows how the perceptions of Barack Obama voters were shaped by the mainstream media. We have already seen the vast amount of misinformation displayed by Obama supporters by an interview with them on the streets of New York conducted by the Howard Stern Show and now the How Obama Got Elected website goes into even more detail about how the MSM shaped the information:

On November 4th, 2008 millions of Americans were shocked that a man of Barack Obama's limited experience, extreme liberal positions and radical political alliances could be elected President of the United States. For many of these Americans, the explanation was rather simple... the news media, completely enamored with Obama, simply refused to do their job.

On Election day twelve Obama voters were interviewed extensively right after they voted to learn how the news media impacted their knowledge of what occurred during the campaign. These voters were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience. The rather shocking video below seeks to provide some insight into which information broke through the news media clutter and which did not.

The dozen Obama voters were asked the same 12 questions. Here are the results when they were asked which political party currently controls Congress:

ADARSHA: Umm.. Currently? Like? ...I don't know actually.

MELINDA: The Republicans.

NICK: Uh, Republicans.

JANAN: Probably Republicans because the President is Republican. That's my honest answer.

The rest of the Obama voters either didn't know or thought the Republicans controlled Congress. These voters were then asked about Barney Frank and Harry Reid but none knew who they were. Andree had heard of Nancy Pelosi but didn't know if she was a Democrat or Republican.

Despite this complete lack of information about Democrat congressional leaders, all of those interviewed in the video knew that it was Sarah Palin who had a pregnant teenage daughter and whose party spent $150,000 for clothes. They also "knew" that Palin "said" she could see Russia from her door even though it was actually Tina Fey doing a Palin impression on SNL.  None of the interviewees knew it was Obama who said he had campaigned in "57 states" although many of the interviewees thought it was either Sarah Palin or John McCain who said that. Also none of those interviewed knew it Obama who won his first election by getting his all his opponents kicked off the ballot. Again, among those who claimed to "know," the culprit was identified as Sarah Palin.

There is a lot more in this video which must not be missed. After you stop laughing at how ill-informed these Obama voters are, you will realize how lacking our education system is and how extensively these voters' perceptions are shaped by the mainstream media. In fact, many of these voters identified PBS, Bill Maher, Jon Stuart, NPR, etc. as their sources for information. Be sure to check out the Zogby poll of 512 Obama voters at How Obama Got Elected since it verifies the misinformation that the video demonstrates.
