Famed TV Producer Norman Lear 'Worried' Rush Limbaugh Was Going to Explode Over Debt Deal

The hatred on the left is just despicable.

After a debt ceiling deal was struck Wednesday in Washington, famed sitcom producer Norman Lear published an article at the Huffington Post wherein he expressed faux concern that conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh had exploded as a result.

"Folks, I'm worried about Rush Limbaugh," Lear began.

After claiming that he was listening to Limbaugh in his car "carrying on about the deal Boehner cut with Reid," Lear continued:

Riding with my car windows down, I thought, "This guy could burst apart so bad even if I'm in LA and he's coming to me from NY, I better put them up." So I put the windows up and when I got to a computer I checked to see if Mr. Limbaugh was still in one piece or scattered across the landscape, a chunk of bladder here, a piece of pituitary there and maybe his mouth around the wide end of a megaphone somewhere.

I'm happy to say I worried for nothing. Mr. Limbaugh was still in one piece. But a piece of -- what?

So the famed producer of possibly the greatest sitcom of all time - All in the Family - ended his screed by hinting at Limbaugh being excrement.

This is how the supposedly tolerant left behaves in public today. And they wonder why the nation is so divided.

What's even sadder is what Lear wrote is the kind of nonsense one expects from a commenter at a liberal website such as the rag he published this detritus at.

Is this really the best this once marvelous producer and writer can do?

Apparently so.

Alas, Lear isn't the first liberal to dream of Limbaugh exploding.

MSNBC's Chris Matthews said almost exactly four years ago, "[A]t some point somebody's going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he's going to explode like a giant blimp."

Birds of a feather, I guess.

And these folks consider themselves to be the intellectuals in the society.

Maybe that's why the country's going to hell.
