Nets Skip WHO Boss Admitting They Rushed to Rule Out Wuhan Lab

July 15th, 2021 8:51 PM

On Thursday, the director-general of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom, admitted what many thought he wouldn’t: his corrupt organization had rushed to keep the Wuhan Institute of Virology off the list of suspected origin points for the coronavirus pandemic. Despite this bombshell admission from a proven lackey of Communist China, the newscasts of ABC’s World News Tonight, the CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News showed no interest in sharing the story with their viewers.

Instead of covering the WHO essentially admitting they were China’s patsy, the big three went back for another hit from their big addiction: negative stories about former President Trump. Despite the fact the claims were unverified by anyone credited, the networks pounced on a book that claimed top American generals were scared Trump would order a military coup to stay in office and compared him to Hitler.

But like clockwork, Fox News Channel’s Special Report anchor Bret Baier was there with the news that mattered. “The World Health Organization is essentially now asking for a do-over on its initial report about the origins of the coronavirus. Officials are now conceding that some of the information concerning China might not have been accurate,” he announced at the top of the program.

Adding: “This comes amid serious questions about whether the WHO has been concealing the level of China's involvement and how much China has been influencing the WHO.”

And as reported by foreign correspondent Benjamin Hall, “all eyes today were back on Wuhan Institute of Virology” because of this admission from Tedros: “There was pretty much a push to, you know, especially reduce one of the options like the lab theory. And I have worked in the lab, and lab accidents happen. It's common.

“Acknowledging for the first time that the lab could have been the source of COVID, he called on China to explain what was happening there at the time of the outbreak,” Hall added. And paraphrasing a Fox News interview with former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, he noted that “the WHO can no longer be trusted.”

The WHO also admitted to today that their initial report that protected the Wuhan lab was filled with false information provided by China:

It also emerged today that the key WHO report into the origins of COVID, compiled with the help of China, contains serious errors.

Chief amongst them that the first family cluster identified in Wuhan – subject 1, 5, and 11 had all been going to the infamous wet market. That, it turns out, was simply not true. In fact, the family were different people altogether. And the data, they say, just got mixed up. It pours cold water on the theory that wet market was the source.

And almost unbelievably, the WHO stood by their report. “The WHO acknowledged the errors but claim they do not affect the conclusion,” Hall said.

“So, the WHO admitting their report was incorrect, admitting that they dismissed the lab leak theory too quickly, and admitting they did not have what they needed from China. All in all, it's hard to know what can be believed,” Hall scoffed.

This all came after the networks came to the defense of the corrupt organization after Trump withdrew the United States and called them out.

The apparent indifference from the broadcast networks was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Hyundai on ABC, and Liberty Mutual on CBS and NBC. Their contact information is linked so you can tell them about the biased news they fund.

BAIER: As mentioned at the top, the World Health Organization did an about-face over some of its earlier reporting about the origins of the coronavirus. This comes amid serious questions about whether the WHO has been concealing the level of China's involvement and how much China has been influencing the WHO. Here’s correspondent Benjamin hall.

BENJAMIN HALL: All eyes today were back on Wuhan Institute of Virology, after the head of the World Health Organization made a stunning admission.

TEDROS ADHANNOM GHEBREYESUS (Director general, WHO): There was pretty much a push to, you know, especially reduce one of the options like the lab theory. And I have worked in the lab, and lab accidents happen. It's common.

HALL: Acknowledging for the first time that the lab could have been the source of COVID, he called on China to explain what was happening there at the time of the outbreak.

But former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said the WHO can no longer be trusted.

MARK MEADOWS: Until you actually eliminate the leadership at the leadership WHO, Dr. Tedros included, we should not be a member of that organization.

HALL: It also emerged today that the key WHO report into the origins of COVID, compiled with the help of China, contains serious errors.

The WHO acknowledged the errors but claim they do not affect the conclusion.

So, the WHO admitting their report was incorrect, admitting that they dismissed the lab leak theory too quickly, and admitting they did not have what they needed from China. All in all, it's hard to know what can be believed. Bret?

BAIER: Benjamin Hall in London. Benjamin, thank you.
