Bozell Cheers Priebus on Hannity: About Time for RNC to Tell NBC to 'Go Pound Sand'

August 9th, 2013 11:02 AM

In Thursday night’s “Media Mash” segment on “Hannity,” MRC president Brent Bozell discussed some of the harsh media reaction to RNC chairman Reince Priebus saying Republicans won’t offer primary debates to CNN or NBC if they continue their plans to produce a “lovefest” of Hillary films before the 2016 election.

Chris Matthews even said “The RNC chairman who has made bones trying to suppress African-Americans’ votes now has a plan to suppress a free media.” Bozell said NBC needs to be told to go pound sand (video and transcript below):

BOZELL Hats off to Reince Priebus for doing what Republicans should have done a long time ago. Listen to Chris Matthews. Look what he just said. This could not be more Orwellian. If you are critical of the president, you are a racist. If you are critical of the bias against you, you’re against free speech. What more impetus does Reince Priebus and the Republican Party need to tell NBC to go pound sand than this kind of reaction that they elicit?

This is exactly why he’s right. I want to go back a second to what we were talking about before, about the revolving door between NBC and the White House. The White House gets the red carpet with all of their guests on MSNBC, whether it is Gibbs, Axelrod, whoever it might be. And now we’re learning that the White House puts out the red carpet for MSNBC. When you hear that Rachel Maddow has visited the Oval Office as many times at the king of Jordan, there really is a revolving door going on.

HANNITY: Pretty funny alright.

They also discussed what Hannity called the ABC News "sottball profile of that radical" Father Pfleger in Chicago, the Reverend Wright pal. Hannity asked, "How do you do a report without putting that into context?"
