"It took the networks 13 days to run a single story" on the fact that Obama-appointed IRS chief counsel William Wilkins was "getting direct reports" on the IRS's review of conservative/Tea Party applications for 501(c)(3) status, NewsBusters publisher and Media Research Center (MRC) founder Brent Bozell told Blaze TV's Andrew Wilkow on the Tuesday edition of his Wilkow! program. Likewise, it took 15 days for the mainstream media to get around to covering the Obama/Holder Justice Department was "refusing to investigate any government employees who were improperly accessing tax records."

"This goes on and on and on. Tea Party Patriots leader Jenny Beth Martin then picked up the torch, noting how it's come to light that the IRS also targeting conservative groups which already had tax-exempt status:

It certainly seems like this goes much deeper than we're currently aware of and yet the media isn't reporting it, the IRS seems to be obstructing Congress, and we still don't know why it started, or exactly when it started or who directed it to start.

"Even worse than that, we don't know if it's ended," Bozell exclaimed. We don't know if this thing is over yet. We don't know if the investigations into Jenny Beth Martin are continuing, as we speak right now," the MRC president added.

"We know that Tea Party Patriots has not been approved yet and the IRS is still dragging us along," Martin replied to Bozell.

Asked by Wilkow whether the national news media had expressed any interest in Tea Party Patriots' plight with the IRS, Martin said that aside from one inquiry after the scandal first broke, "I don't believe we've been contacted by any of the mainstream media."
