Joe Biden: start measuring those Oval Office curtains today! It's all over but the shouting, folks. The election's done and dusted, and Ol' Joe has won!
That is, if you believe MSNBC's Donny Deutsch.
On today's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough trashed the president for attacking the press and Democrat governors. "Isn't this a great example of Donald Trump not being the political genius that people on the left are afraid that he is? I think he's just hurting himself right now."
Deutsch accused President Trump of behaving like a "political moron," claimed he "will not recover" from his handling of the coronavirus, and concluded that the virus "will be his Waterloo in spades."
Deutsch imagined being recruited by the Democrats. "If I got hired, somebody said to me, 'Hey, work on Biden's campaign,' I go, you don't need me. You don’t need any ad guy….All you need to do is tell the truth. That Donald Trump lied to you when it came to your health. That Donald Trump cared more about his re-election and opening the economy and put his head in the sand."
Deutsch contrasted President Trump with Biden, whom he described as "an empathetic person who says, I care about you." And will sniff your hair to prove it, you lying, dog-faced pony soldier, says the man who can't remember what state he's in.
Note: speaking of the gaffe-prone Biden, Deutsch committed one of his own. In the course of claiming that each president will be remembered for one thing, he said that President Reagan ended the Cold "Water." Yes, who can forget Reagan's immortal line, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this cold-water pipe!"

DONNY DEUTSCH: He’s behaving like a political moron . . . And on the flip side, what do you have with Joe Biden, as you said earlier in the show, when you back to USA Today in January? You have comfort. You have an empathetic person who says, “I care about you.” The most simple, primal stance that this man stands for. Donald Trump will not recover from this. Every president, presidency, is one thing. It’s Obamacare. It’s Ronald Reagan ending the Cold Water [sic].
This Donald Trump, it is this one thing, is how he mishandled the coronavirus. And that's lives. It's 40,000 right now. I believe this will be his Waterloo in spades.
