Bill Press On Iraq: Republicans 'Refuse To Give A Black Man Credit'

October 24th, 2011 9:50 PM

Sure way to stay schnockered between now and presidential Election Day: sling a shot every time a liberal plays the race card.

Latest example: on Al Sharpton's MSNBC show this evening, Bill Press ascribed Republican reluctance to give President Obama credit on Iraq to the fact that "the Republican party is like some of the banks down South. They refuse to give a black man credit." Video after the jump.

Watch Press play the race card in the most egregious way.  Can he really believe that Republicans would be any more forthcoming with praise for a white Dem president who pulled troops out of Iraq in a way that left Iran strengthened and emboldened?

PS: Would Press care to specify the southern banks he claims are breaking the law, or does he prefer to leave his libel floating flatulently in the wind?

AL SHARPTON: Bill is writing about the Iraq pull-out, calling it a promise made, promise kept. Bill, what will it take for Republicans to give this president credit?

BILL PRESS: You know what, Reverend Al?  As one of my callers said this morning on my show, the Republican party is like some of the banks down South. They refuse to give a black man credit. Period.
