Sick! Journos Blame Conservative ‘Selfish’ ‘Monsters’ for Nashville Shooting

April 8th, 2023 9:10 PM

When a transgender shooter on March 27 targeted a Christian school in Nashville and slaughtered six people, including three children, some in the media responded by disgustingly blaming conservatives and responsible gun-owners for the attack because they were “selfish” “monsters” who spread hate.

What’s worse is that just a few weeks prior to the shooting, actress and leftist activist Jane Fonda was “kidding” around about murdering Pro-Lifers on ABC’s The View. Yet in the eyes of liberal journalists and celebrities it’s “fascist” Republican politicians who are at fault for creating a climate of hate in the country.

The following are just a few of the ugliest attacks on conservatives from liberal journalists and celebrities in the last month:

Responsible Gun Owners = “Monsters” Who Are “Selfish,” “Value Guns Over” Lives

Host Nicolle Wallace: “We have something more than inaction [on guns]. It’s not a gridlock problem. It’s an enthusiasm for the gun culture on the right.”...
MSNBC contributor Eddie Glaude: “These monsters who are so selfish around their guns…‘Don’t take away my guns even though these families are losing their babies, even though people are being shot with bump stocks and weapons of war, I still have the right to my gun. To be damned you’re dead.’ Selfishness.”
— MSNBC’s Deadline: White House, March 27.

“We live in a country where, apparently, we value guns over children. We value guns over the lives of fellow human beings. It’s very hard for me to wrap my brain around that….They’re banning books in schools. Books can’t kill your children. They’re banning some books in schools. But yet, the rules are very different when it comes to guns.”
— Co-host Gayle King on CBS Mornings, March 29.

GOP Putting a “Target on the Backs of Trans Kids”

“From, you know, Governor Ron DeSantis in Florida, to Governor Huckabee in Arkansas, to the, you know, the Republican-led House of Representatives, it seems like they have a problem specifically with trans kids. And what I have a problem with is that the party of life, the party of respect for family and individual freedom has no problem putting a target on the backs of trans kids and their families.”
Washington Post associate editor/PBS contributor Jonathan Capehart on PBS NewsHour, March 24.

Stahl Mocks “Cutting Spending” as “Glib”

Anchor Lesley Stahl: “Would you be willing to vote for compromise? In other words, raise some taxes?”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene: “I don’t think we have a revenue problem in Washington. We have a spending problem.”
Stahl: “You know something? That’s glib. That’s glib….What does that mean? The two sides have to come together and hammer it out.”
— CBS’s 60 Minutes, April 2.

GOP Wants to “Undo” 20th Century, Drag Shows Are Just “Art”

“Republicans in Tennessee are moving full speed ahead in their quest to undo the thing they hate the most, the 20th century. With Governor Bill Lee signing a bill today that would restrict drag performances. If Governor Lee knew the history that Republicans don't want you to learn, he’d know that drag is an art form that goes back, literally, centuries.”
— Host Joy Reid on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, March 2.

NPR Allowed to Tweet Despite “Limited Evidence” They Understand Basic Sports Physiology

“The international governing body for track and field will ban trans women athletes from elite women’s competitions, citing a priority for fairness over inclusion despite limited scientific evidence of physical advantage.”
— March 24 tweet from NPR’s official Twitter account.

Something He Wouldn’t Have DARED Say About Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton Etc.

“[Former UN ambassador] Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime — sorry. A woman is considered being in her prime in her 20s and 30s and maybe 40s. Prime, if you look it up. If you Google, when is a woman in her prime? It’ll say 20s, 30s, 40s.”
— Co-host Don Lemon CNN This Morning, March 16.

Vladimir Putin = George W. Bush

“Putin miscalculated just how difficult it would be to invade and occupy a country that doesn’t want him there. He must’ve told himself his brutal forces would be greeted as liberators. It’s not the first time such a miscalculation has caused devastation. Twenty years ago today, the United States invaded Iraq under false pretenses, forever changing the global order.”
— Host Joy Reid on MSNBC’s The ReidOut, March 20.

GOP Is “Party of Dinosaurs,” Won’t Win Elections “Anymore”

Co-host Joy Behar: “This is the beginning of the end of the Republican Party, as I see it. I don’t see they’re going to win elections anymore in this country. Not national elections. They’re on the wrong side. These kids were born in 1997, not 1897, which is where the Republican Party is going. And they’re like, ‘Whoa, hold up, I don’t want to get killed in school. I don’t want to be in the middle of another tornado or whatever the hell is going on in our country. All I hear about is tornados all the time. Is that climate change? Probably.’...The only way the Republican Party fights against this is to raise the voting age, stop people from voting, all they do is tricks! Tricks!”...
Co-host Sunny Hostin: “It’s clear that the Republican Party is the party of dinosaurs.”
— ABC’s The View, April 6.

GOP Makes “Money Off Children’s Deaths”

“Marsha Blackburn, a Senator from Tennessee. She, of course, sent out her thoughts and prayers. She is 13th on a list of senators who have received the most money from the NRA. She received over $1.3 million in donations while representing a state with 1,273 gun deaths a year. Okay, follow the money. This is what this is all about. The gun lobby. All these people who are selling guns. They make lots of money off children’s deaths apparently in this country.”
— Co-host Joy Behar on ABC’s The View, March 28.

The View to DeSantis: “Youre Not Ready for America”

Co-host Sunny Hostin: “Whatever he [Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ] does in Florida would not work on the national stage….Drag queens can’t read at libraries, there can be no drag shows, people can randomly get guns everywhere. He’s sort of attacking our freedoms one by one by one.”...
Co-host Whoopi Goldberg: “Whether it’s a kid who has two dads, or it’s a kid whose mom has been exploited by the police, there are things that are going to come up that you can’t hide, that you can’t fix. So, dude, you’re not ready for America.”
Hostin: “He’s not ready for the national stage.”
Goldberg: “You’re not ready for this country yet. Because you haven’t learned that we are a diverse nation. So you can run if you want to, but I ain’t voting for you.”
— ABC’s The View, March 23.

Fonda’s Final Solution for Pro-Lifers

Actress Jane Fonda: We have experienced many decades now of having agency over our body, of being able to determine when and how many children to have. We know what that feels like. We know what that’s done for our lives. We’re not going back. I don’t care what the laws are. We’re not going back….It’s true. It's the truth. We’re not going to do it. We’re going to fight.”
Co-host Joy Behar: “Besides marching and protesting, what else do you suggest?”
Fonda: “Well, it does involve murder.”
Actress Lily Tomlin: “Well, it doesn’t happen overnight. It’s not a miraculous – What did you say?”
Fonda: “Murder.”
Behar: “She’s kidding. Wait a second, she’s just kidding.”
— ABC’s The View, March 10.

CPAC = Convention Full of “Fascists” and “Racists”

“In Washington, the fascist and the furious have gathered to praise their lord and savior, Donald Trump, at the annual CPAC convention. This is a convention for all your worst aunts and uncles….This CPAC event, it’s kind of hard to explain, every, like, low-rent radio host and podcast racist with a dye job and a fleece vest shows up to try to out-crazy each other.”
— Host Jimmy Kimmel on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, March 2.
