As part of the elitist liberal media’s campaign to destroy President Trump’s second term by tying him to Jeffrey Epstein and his odious life of sex trafficking minors, the major broadcast networks of ABC, CBS and NBC have spent a gargantuan 1,033 minutes — or 17 hours and 13 minutes — since July 7 on their flagship morning and evening newscasts and Sunday talk shows seeking to establish an disturbing connection between them.
This new tally — which began after an FBI memo said Epstein died by suicide and there was no “client list” — marked just over a 20 percent increase (20.52%) from our first study on the morning of November 18, meaning the networks added just under 213 minutes (212:53) in 34 days.
ABC remained the leading network toiling away on the Epstein with roughly 416 minutes, which translates to nearly seven hours of speculation. NBC remained in second at 364 minutes and CBS was still in third at 252 minutes.
Since our last study, ABC added the least amount of time with only 58 minutes combined to add to the totals for Good Morning America (169:15), World News Tonight (139:28), and This Week (107:13).
“An extraordinary moment as dozens of Jeffrey Epstein's victims watched and cheered in the gallery...It was a vote President Trump tried to prevent it for weeks, assisted by House Speaker Mike Johnson kept the House out of session for 54 days, effectively stalling it. When it became clear the Republicans were going to defy the President, Trump reversed course,” beamed senior political correspondent Rachel Scott on the November 18 World News Tonight.
Filling in on December 12, Saturday World News Tonight anchor Whit Johnson boasted “breaking news” from House Democrats, who ensured “more than 90...images from the Jeffrey Epstein estate” were “made public...including multiple pictures of President Trump.”
Chief Justice correspondent Pierre Thomas boasted Trump and “some of America’s most powerful men” were seen huddling with Epstein, yet buried deep in his piece the photos were “not evidence of wrongdoing” while the release was intended to imply the opposite.
On the December 20 Good Morning America, Thomas relayed “Democrats and some of the victims are angry and disappointed that not all the documents were released at once” in compliance with a law passed by Congress, brewing more questions and whether “the files” will “reveal a list of powerful men who took part in Epstein’s sexual abuse of teenage girls.”
Even though NBC remained in second, they far surpassed the competition with over 88 minutes (88:57) in added time to the tallies for Today (160:09), Nightly News (126:25), and Meet the Press (77:59) since we first brought you the numbers on the new Russiagate.
NBC Nightly News anchor Tom Llamas was giddy in leading off the December 12 show (click “expand”):
Good evening, we begin with the stunning new images from Jeffrey Epstein's estate . The photos are a glimpse into his high-flying world featuring presidents, billionaires and celebrities. The pictures released by congressional Democrats. President Trump just responded to them moment to go from the Oval Office. One photo shows the President from years ago, pictured with six women, whose faces have been redacted. Other photos show several high profile men including Bill Gates, Richard Branson, and Woody Allen, along with this photo of former President Bill Clinton that appears to be signed with him, showing him with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
The White House blasting the release tonight, saying House Democrats are trying to create a false narrative, and we should note, these images do not appear to show anything illegal, but it all comes while the clock is ticking ahead of next week's deadline for the Justice Department to release their Epstein Files.
Capitol Hill correspondent Ryan Nobles tossed fuel on the fire: “Tonight, a new trove of photos from the estate of Jeffrey Epstein revealing more proof of the convicted sex offenders relationship with several powerful men...One shows Epstein with a younger Donald Trump and an unidentified woman. Trump also appears in other pictures without Epstein but with women whose identities are protected by the committee.”
Fast-forwarding to the aftermath of the files having been formally released, fill-in co-host Laura Jarrett said on December 22 that “some members of Congress are turning up the pressure on the Department of Justice now to release all of the files related to Jeffrey Epstein, as survivors speak out.”
Nobles added “survivors called [Friday’s] release a step backward for transparency.”
“Members of Congress, both Republican and Democrat, are threatening impeachment and contempt if the DOJ does not do more to make sure every file is released. This morning, growing backlash aimed at the Department of Justice over their release of the Epstein files,” Nobles reported, dropping the i-word to suggest a conspiracy was afoot to protect Trump.
Finally, CBS added over an hour (65:55) to its four-plus-hours of Epstein obsessing on CBS Mornings (159:21), the CBS Evening News (76:46), and Face the Nation (16:50).
Referring to Epstein, CBS Mornings co-host Gayle King opened the November 19 program with the declaration that a vote on Epstein documents was “certainly the story of the day and that's where we are going to begin, with a big day on Capitol Hill for the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's abuse.”
“Now, this comes after months of opposition from the President and the GOP leadership, and after years and years of lobbying from Epstein's accusers, some of them held a very emotional news conference outside the capitol before the vote,” she added.
Justice correspondent Scott MacFarlane gleefully shared on the December 12 Evening News that the “nearly 100 newly released photos from” Epstein’s estate by Democrats showed him “side-by-side with Donald Trump and another with Trump flanked by a group of women.”
In the case of MacFarlane and the others from that dump, the networks held up a photo of Trump and six woman with their faces blacked out and accepted Democrats’ explanation it was done to protect their identities.
If they were interested in transparency instead of implicating Trump in unspeakable crimes, they would have told viewers the six women were overage and models appearing at Mar-a-Lago to promote Hawaiian Tropic, a brand of sunscreen. The Telegraph spoke to one of the women, who said Trump was “very nice” and “gentlemanly.”
More broadly, the totals were thanks in part to dumps of selective photos and videos from Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, creating a drip, drip, drip timed to keep a story in the headlines that few voters have expressed concern about.
A December 13 Quinnipiac poll asked voters to identify “the most urgent issue facing the country today” and provided 10 choices (e.g. “the economy,” “health care,” etc.) along with the options of “something else” or the standard “don’t know”/”not available”.
Unsurprisingly, Quinnipiac did not even offer the Epstein files as a choice and, if voters had cited it, it would have fallen under the catch-all “something else” category...which totaled four percent.
If the issue were important enough to ABC, CBS, and NBC that they would spend over 15 hours since July force-feeding viewers with rancorous speculation, more Americans would be explicitly claiming the Epstein files as the top issue facing the country.
