Fox Guest: Planned Parenthood Video Is ‘Right Wing Pornography’

July 16th, 2015 3:44 PM

Wednesday night on The Kelly File, Megyn Kelly invited The Blaze’s Dana Loesch and Democratic strategist Robert Zimmerman to the program to comment on a disturbing video showing a Planned Parenthood higher-up appearing to explain how the organization traffics the body parts of unborn children for profit. Liberal talking head Robert Zimmerman claimed there was “fraud behind this video.” He cried: “Let’s call it what it is. This is right wing pornography.” That's an odd term for a sexless restaurant conversation about livers.

Kelly wanted to talked about “the barbarism” of the issue, even as she conceded that “the legality is up for debate.” The Fox News host was horrified by “the absence of any humanity on her part as she performs these abortions for the solemnity of the moment and the respect for the potential of human life.” She implied that everyone should be disgusted by this “regardless of your position on abortion.”

Throughout the conversation, Kelly insisted the issue had nothing to do with the law. The Kelly File host got increasingly frustrated after Zimmerman questioned Kelly about her concern for the “false impressions” created by the film. She exploded:

Where is your humanity on this, Robert? Where is your humanity on this? She is guzzling down wine and stuffing her face full of salad while she talks about the end of a potential life. This is – I'm not saying that this is a testament against abortion altogether. I am saying there ought to be some humanity and respect for the dignity of a potential, potential life.

Earlier in the segment, Dana Loesch said seeing the video made her “nauseous” because of the “casual way that she [Nucatola] spoke” about the body parts of unborn babies. She added: “This is how far we have sunk. Where is the humanity in this?”

MEGYN KELLY: Let’s talk about the barbarism of it. The legality is up for debate. I realize that. I have my own opinions as a lawyer. The barbarism of her callous tone, Dana, as she discusses the crushing of fetus organs.

DANA LOESCH: And Megyn, thanks for having me on this issue, too. Dr. Nucatola there, I just – the casual way that she spoke about this, she is having a glass of red wine, she’s eating a salad and she’s talking about lungs and hearts and livers and appendages, arms and legs, just, you know, like it's a regular day and they are talking about parts for a car. This is how far we have sunk. Where is the humanity in this? And where is the consistency in this, as well? There is all of this outrage from Planned Parenthood. But why would there be outrage? Why are they trying to spin it. If a life is a life then they have something to hide. I don't know. It infuriates me to the point where it makes me nauseous, Megyn. I was nauseous watching this video.

ROBERT ZIMMERMAN: What infuriates me, Megyn, is the fraud behind this video. Let’s call it what it is. This is right wing pornography. The same individuals who produce this video have been called out by the press repeatedly – mainstream and even conservative press – for the same individuals producing this film that you featured tonight have been nailed for producing films that have been misleading.

KELLY: They didn't make Dr. Nucatola talk about – Robert they didn’t make Dr. Nucatola talk about crushing fetal organs and trying to get a breach delivery so that she preserves the head for someone to dissect.

ZIMMERMAN: Megyn, they edited the film to represent misleading and often false –

LOESCH: False.

KELLY: She’s not even claiming that. Planned Parenthood's defense is that this isn't illegal.

[...]

KELLY: I'm not taking it to that debate. No, because you are off point. As a lawyer I will tell you I think this is very legally problematic, but I'm intentionally not making it about that. And I’m not even making it about a pro life, pro choice thing. I'm talking about the absence of any humanity on her part as she performs these abortions for the solemnity of the moment and the respect for the potential of human life. Regardless of your position of abortion.

ZIMMERMAN: Megyn, do you have concern about how misleading – how misleading and false this film is? How it creates false impressions and it’s nothing more than a scam by the right-wing to defund Planned Parenthood.

KELLY: Where is your humanity on this, Robert? Where is your humanity on this? She is guzzling down wine and stuffing her face full of salad while she talks about the end of a potential life. This is – I'm not saying that this is a testament against abortion altogether. I am saying there ought to be some humanity and respect for the dignity of a potential, potential life.
