Univision Mad at Biden's Immigration Blowoff

February 8th, 2023 5:30 PM

President Biden's State of the Union address had the folks at Univision drooling with praise, that is, until it came to the subject of immigration, so very dear to the ($$$) heart of our Spanish-speaking press, which was practically ignored by the 46th President.

“I recall very few (SOTU) speeches in which so little was said about immigration,” Jorge Ramos somberly replied to co-anchor Ilia Calderón prior to wrapping up their analysis of President Joe Biden's second State of The Union, this time before a “divided” Congress.

ILIA CALDERON: Before we wrap, Jorge, I’d like to highlight something that the president said about immigration, and that is: “If you do not pass my (comprehensive) immigration reform, (then) at least approve more resources for border security,” which could perhaps give us an insight into a change of perspective from the president regarding immigration control in the United States.

JORGE RAMOS: In a tweet, United We Dream has just stated that President Biden talked about everything but a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented  immigrants. I recall very few (SOTU) speeches in which so little was said about immigration.

CALDERÓN: That's right. DACA is still in the courts, and undocumented immigrants in the United States remain in limbo.

RAMOS: On that note, we wrap it up. Thank you for trusting Univision.

Notice how once again, Univision deflected responsibility for Biden's failure to materialize the “comprehensive immigration reform” they so staunchly support, on Republicans.

In the words of Calderón: “Jorge, I’d like to highlight something that the president said about immigration, and that is: 'If you (Republicans) do not pass my (comprehensive) immigration reform, (then) at least approve more resources for border security' which could perhaps give us an insight into a change of perspective from the President regarding immigration control in the United States.”

Ramos, per his custom to allow immigrant advocacy groups to dictate coverage, then read a United We Dream tweet (funded by Soros's Open Society PAC), which stated: “President Biden talked about everything but a pathway to citizenship for 11 million undocumented immigrants. I recall very few (SOTU) speeches in which so little was said about immigration.”

The immigration reform blow-off, is after all a major snag for the network per their star anchor, who, as we've previously informed, openly admitted that its long-term success depends on an open border, and which filed an amicus brief before the United States Supreme Court in defense of DACA.

The reasons for Biden's scant mention of anything related to immigration and the unprecedented crisis at the southern border are pretty clear to all but the liberal corporate Spanish-speaking media and their relentless pro-open borders campaign. Better to sweep it under the rug.
