Kylie Jenner’s 'Handmaid’s Tale' Party Like ‘Holocaust Theme for Bar Mitzvah’

For a group of people who preach free love and free hugs, liberals really need to loosen up. On Saturday, Kylie Jenner posted a video on her Instagram of a “Handmaid’s Tale” themed birthday party she hosted for her friend. The video has since been deleted from her account, but not before the Twitter social justice mob had already unleashed its wrath.

For the left, The Handmaid’s Tale is not just any ol’ dystopian liberal drama, it’s a prophecy. The show’s writers are nagging soothsayers who proclaim in shrill voices, “Beware the Ides of March!” Just as Ancient Rome held the foreseeing augurs as holy priests, the left holds The Handmaid’s Tale as a sacred relic revered for its clairvoyant powers.

Thus, Kylie Jenner’s “Handmaid Tale” themed birthday party was sacrilege. Sporting the show’s iconic red dresses and white bonnets, Kylie’s dressed-up guests made a mockery of the hallowed garbs reserved for saintly pro-abortion protestors. Though it was clear that Kylie simply wanted to express her love for the show, her unintentional blasphemy could not go unpunished.

One Twitter user huffed:

Not that I had any before but @KylieJenner just lost all of my respect and business. The Handmaids Tale is not a joke or laughing matter. It is about the rape & oppression of women and it is happening right now in America. I have never witnessed this level of ignorance in my life

Another commented:

Why would this be an appropriate theme for young women to have at a party? It’s like… a plantation theme for a black person’s party or a holocaust theme for a bar mitzvah.

These are astute observations made by the brightest of lefty minds. However, they missed a key difference between the Holocaust and The Handmaid’s Tale: one is an actual event where millions of innocents died, the other is a Hulu show about a fake patriarchal society.

But we should know by now that leftists aren’t concerned with silly things like “truth” and “reason.” They see the world in oppression tinted glasses where there is no difference between slavery and Kylie Jenner throwing a birthday party.
