Kings College Professor Banned From Using 'Male' And 'Female' In Research

The proposal seemed simple, but sadly, it waded into the woke.

Kings College London (KCL) professor John Armstrong was submitting a proposal for an ethical paper that would ask a variety of people about their opinions on whether men should compete in women’s sports.

However, Armstrong’s proposal was rejected simply on the basis that he would use the words “male” and “female” in his research.

"The ethics committee rejected the proposal, on the grounds that using the terms ‘male’ and 'female' in this sentence constituted ‘misgendering,’” Armstrong said.  “I was told that I must seek input from the Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) team on the ‘wording used in the survey’ and the ‘presentation of the research.”

Armstrong added that the committee did not see any problem with the questions he would ask in the research, only with using words that would (rightly) suggest that biological sex and genders are real.

So basically, a highly-accredited university that should boast some of the most brilliant minds in the world is trying to prevent someone from acknowledging genders for the sake of not hurting feelings.

Armstrong took issue with KCL’s actions and blasted his university for setting a dangerous precedent on any gender-related research.

“By preventing me from using the word ‘male,’ the ethics review was in effect preventing me from using the concept of sex at all,” he said. “Activist interference in what can be researched erodes the integrity of science… Political policing of research introduces a new ethical-review bias. If the ethics team at my university limits what questions can be asked about gender-identity, this introduces a bias into all the work conducted on gender at the university.”

Sounds like these college “geniuses” need to take some basic human anatomy courses to refresh their memories on the genders.

Or, they could just stop being megaphones for the progressive movement.
