Civility has not proven to be a strong suit for members of the Democratic Party or their friends in the left wing media. From CNN’s Don Lemon comparing President Trump to Hitler to the relentless racial smears on the President and his supporters, the press are the last people who should be lecturing the rest of the country on being cordial.
There comes a time when everyone needs to take a holiday, so it would behoove Chris Matthews to heed this advice soon. Seeing as this past week of Hardball has proven to be a stumbling block for new, creative ways to insult President Trump, Wednesday night’s episode followed the same, banal pattern.
If there ever was a shining diamond in the leftist media that person would be Greg Gutfeld. True to form, Gutfeld untangled, on Tuesday night’s episode of The Five, the interchangeable web of the media and the liberal allies by mocking their collective mass hysteria over President Trump’s latest tweets.
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. It seems this adage encompasses the entirety of Chris Matthews’ programming on Hardball. There is no nuance in labeling President Trump as a racist, however that does not deter Matthews from partaking in this practice as a routine. In fact, Tuesday night’s Hardball episode could be seen as a rerun to those who are not loyal viewers.
A quick flashback to election night of 2016 would bring to the forefront memories of an earth shattering defeat for the liberal media and an ensuing shock. There is no need to reminisce on this moment if you are an avid viewer of Hardball with Chris Matthews where the meltdown over President Trump’s occupancy in office persists on a nightly basis. Monday night’s episode was no different.
A war of words took to new heights on Monday between President Trump and four freshmen House Democrats when the President responded to attacks directed at him from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Ilhan Omar (MN), Ayanna Pressley (MA), and Rashida Tlaib (MI). On CNN’s The Situation Room, Wolf Blitzer could hardly wait to pounce on the race card and made CNN part of the story after the women held a press conference.
The big tech censorship of conservative content and influencers across all social media platforms has raised questions about the impact the internet has on restricting free speech. To discuss the silencing of ideas that dissent from social media companies’ liberal worldviews, President Trump held a social media summit with prominent names in the conservative movement at the White House on Thursday afternoon. And surprise, surprise, talk show host Jimmy Kimmel let it be known he was unimpressed.
The leftist media seeks to vilify those who support conservative ideals and glorify all who oppose them. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R), has felt the wrath of the press for decades so it’s not surprising that the liberal media are pulling out all the stops for his Democratic opponent Amy McGrath.
It is typical for a late-night host to take a hiatus from filming during June and July. While Trevor Noah is taking a breather from his relentless attacks on conservatives, his show continues to perpetrate spitefulness with its filler episodes. Monday night's show just re-ran a bunch of their "In the FoxHole" segments mocking Fox News.
If President Trump walked on water, the headline would be Trump can’t swim. Most are familiar with this joke because the underlying sentiment behind it is essentially the truth. Once the liberal media gets wind of President Trump’s position on an issue, they actively go against it. On his Tuesday night show, Fox News host Tucker Carlson highlighted the most recent example of this in the pages of The Washington Post.
When a scandal is uncovered surrounding a Republican lawmaker or a conservative in general, the liberal media outlets come out in full force to cover every last detail. The same cannot be said when a Democrat finds themselves in hot water, as in the case of left-wing Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Fox News’ Watters’ World was one of the only shows to dedicate airtime to the story on Saturday night.
Every once in a blue moon, there is a member of the leftist media mob who is willing to stand up and state an irrefutable truth. For all of the left-wing propaganda talking points Bill Maher has up his sleeve, he exemplified a rare moment of self-reflection on his party during Friday night’s Real Time. Maher began his show by having the guts to be intellectually honest about the behavior of the Democratic primary candidates, specifically Julian Castro’s ludicrous claim about transgender women.
The gushing love-fest for Senator Kamala Harris was on full display across all of network television after the wrap- up of the second round Democratic primary debate Thursday night. In particular, CNN commentator Van Jones could not contain his enthusiasm for the Senator on the DNC Post Debate Analysis program.
Thursday night brought the conclusion of the first series of 2020 Democratic presidential primary debates. Following the media fawning over the performance of Senator Elizabeth Warren (MA) in night one on Wednesday night, the momentum had then shifted towards fellow Senator, Kamala Harris. Daily Show host Trevor Noah sang Harris’ praises following the debate Thursday night.
The Democratic Primary race for 2020 officially kicked off Wednesday night with the first presidential debate on MSNBC, NBC, and Telemundo. The coterie of lefty late-night hosts immediately began live broadcasting in the aftermath of the debate. Among them was The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah, who made it obvious who he believed won the night.
In the moments before Wednesday’s 2020 Democratic presidential candidates on MSNBC, the assembled cast of characters serving as the warm-up didn’t disappoint in bringing their anti- Trump heat to the first Democratic Primary debate. All In host Chris Hayes launched this attack on the 2016 Republican primaries: “We all watched those Republican debates which were insane. They were the ugliest, most depraved, indecorous displays that anyone had ever seen....we watched them go after each other.”
The liberal media loathe President Trump and his supporters to a degree that is impossible to deny. The constant chastising of the President as well as the voters across the country who elected him to office grows more draining by the day. Donald Trump Jr. appeared on Fox News Saturday night to discuss the hostile coverage of President Trump’s Florida rally launching his reelection bid earlier in the week.
It seems as of late, the preferred tactic among liberals and the media is to brand any policy idea that they fundamentally disagree with as on par with the atrocity of the Holocaust. From CNN host Don Lemon comparing President Trump to Hitler to Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez referring to detention centers on the southern border as “concentration camps.” While many rush to condemn these outlandish claims, others have the temerity to defend them.
To the liberal media, besides President Trump and conservatives in general, there is no greater enemy than Fox News. Thus, the ensuing Hollywood takedown of its deceased founder, Roger Ailes, was an obvious move. Actor Russell Crowe appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Thursday night to promote his role as Ailes in the new series The Loudest Voice.
In the TV age, there's never been a more dramatic defeat for the media than on Election Day 2016. Despite the press and their pollsters guaranteeing a win for Hillary Clinton, the unthinkable occurred when Donald Trump was elected President, which sent shock waves through the liberal media. Rather than learn from their errors and aproach the public with more humility, the media continue to say the nastiest things about President Trump and every voter who put him in office.
