MSNBC’s Ari Melber to impressive lengths Tuesday night to try and downplay the riots that have plagued Los Angeles for the past few days. On his show, The Beat, he tried to make the impact these riots had seem as minimal as possible. “Let's tell you here in the news what we know,” Melber started, providing a weak summary of the facts:

One of the week’s most inaccurate and biased statements was “there is no vicious and violent mob in Los Angeles.” This claim did not come from some fringe angry online social media user, but was pushed by MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell on Tuesday night’s broadcast of The Last Word. Clearly, this take was not only just extremely out of touch with reality, but a bald-faced lie.

On Tuesday morning, MSNBC anchor Ana Cabrera and contributor Paola Ramos covered the Los Angeles anti-ICE riots by insisting the riots are justifiable because of “American empathy.” The toxic word choice from Cabrera and Ramos only covers up the left-wing agenda of not arresting illegals who do not belong in the United States rather than supporting US citizens. 

Few words are as frequently misused to garner attention as the phrase “unprecedented.” Contrary to the way liberal media likes to throw the word around, everything you disagree with is not considered unprecedented. There is, of course, quite a bit of precedent for news stations like PBS using their platform to complain about “unprecedented” Republican politics.
