New York Times reporter Kate Zernike made Saturday’s front page with her take on how Christine Blasey's allegation against Brett Kavanaugh is playing with the public: “Swing District Supports Her, But Gingerly,” from Doylestown, Pa. Zernike was struck that no one she talked to brought up Anita Hill -- but what about Bill Clinton, Hillary’s husband? Bizarrely, Zernike skipped Clinton and reached all the way back to President Ronald Reagan for blame.
There was a bit of good news Thursday after President Trump announced that two of the 55 sets of Korean War remains returned by the North were identified. The remains were those of Army Master Sergeant Charles McDaniel and Army Private First Class Williams Jones. The identification of the remains would surely bring closure to their families, but NBC Nightly News didn’t think it was worth mentioning.
Sadly, since coming forward with accusations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and her family have received numerous death threats. During that time, Kavanaugh and his family have also received horrific treatment. Despite the seriousness all around, ABC’s World News Tonight sided with Ford on Thursday by choosing to only report the threats to her and threw those against Kavanaugh in the trash.
On Thursday morning, as the broadcast networks all seized on Democratic demands for an FBI investigation into Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault claims against Brett Kavanaugh, reporters on NBC, ABC, and CBS were quick to point to the Bureau’s investigation of Anita Hill’s sexual harassment claims against Clarence Thomas in 1991. However, none of the supposed journalists could seem to remember that the outcome of that inquiry was inconclusive.
While some of his liberal media colleagues were giving a megaphone to Democratic Senators demanding an FBI investigation into the attempted sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh on Wednesday, CNN’s Chris Cuomo was busy making false claims that the bureau had said nothing about not investigating the charges. But, in fact, they had declined to investigate.
With time running out for Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, to provide to some form of testimony with the Senate Judiciary Committee, the liberal broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) spent their Wednesday evening broadcasts giving a boost to Democratic calls for an investigation into the Supreme Court nominee. Of course, they failed in their duty to inform their viewers that the FBI had already declined to investigate when the charges were brought to them over the weekend.
With the charges of an alleged attempted sexual assault swirling around the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, the liberal media pounced on the obligatory comparison to the allegations of sexual misconduct against Justice Clarence Thomas by Anita Hill. On NBC Nightly News, correspondent Andrea Mitchell rewrote history and implied that Hill’s claims were credible, hoping the charges would sink the nomination this time around.
While all three network morning shows on Monday reported on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh being accused of sexual assault as a teenager in the 1980s and conducted interviews with the accuser’s lawyer, only NBC pointed out that both the woman leveling the allegation and her attorney were Democratic Party activists.
Despite his claims that the liberal media doesn’t exist, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd proved himself again to be a leftist shill during NBC’s Sunday Today as they continued to push a dubious smear of Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
New York Times reporter Gardiner Harris latest hit on a conservative foreign policy figure appears to have backfired in spectacular fashion. Harris's report isupposedly caught United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley for wild spending on her official residence, “Envoy’s View of City is Priceless. The Curtains? $52,000.” The text box: “A purchase was made at a time when the State Dept. was slashing its budget.” Or maybe not. The decision to purchase the curtains for the official residence, as well as the move to a new residence, was made in 2016, during the Obama administration.
The New York Times again provided favorable, euphemistic coverage to the nation’s largest abortion provider (er, "health care" provider), while finding ideology only among its enemies. Reporter Kate Zernike introduced Planned Parenthood’s new leader Dr. Leana Wen, while avoiding the word "abortion" as long as she could: "Planned Parenthood, under fire from conservatives in Washington and state capitols..."
Whether you believe that Pope Francis is pushing a liberal agenda in the Catholic Church or not, the liberal media does, and it’s clear that they will do their best to defend him from criticism. Thursday’s USA Today article deflected earnest criticisms of the pope by painting him as an innocent victim, suffering a clerical abuse scandal pushed by critics hoping to oust him.
