In an explosive hearing today, the Senate Judiciary Committee detailed explosive allegations of abuses of power by Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team. In a blatant show of hypocrisy, the Elitist Media Evening News mostly refused to cover it.

DAVID MUIR: To the other news here this evening, former Special Counsel Jack Smith up on Capitol Hill today, testifying before the Republican-led Senate Judiciary Committee. Smith, who twice indicted President Trump, told senators he continues to stand by his decision to prosecute the President, saying Trump committed serious crimes.
JACK SMITH: If asked whether to prosecute a former President today based on the same facts, I would do so regardless of whether that president was a Republican or a Democrat.
MUIR: Republicans on the committee accusing Smith of abusing his authority.
The Media Hall Monitors incessantly tell us that Bari Weiss is turning the “MAGA-aligned” CBS News into Newsmax-on-57th Street. And yet all the Evening News could muster on the hearing was a 10-second ticker during the commercial break after A-block.

NBC Nightly News did absolutely nothing on the hearing, despite being one of the media organizations listed by the Senate Judiciary Committee whose journalists “had their communications swept up by Smith…” which include, to wit: Fox News, CNN, CBS News including 60 Minutes, NBC News, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, the Los Angeles Times, New York Magazine, The Federalist, the Washington Times, The Associated Press (I pause here to note that the AP's own writeup of the hearing omits the seized communications), Reuters, NPR, The Mark Levin Show, and the Media Research Center.
ABC’s brief was essentially Trumpwashed, with its focus on Smith saying he’s do it all over again- and none of the focus on the allegations revealed in the hearing, whether the aforementioned seized communications of media organizations, or the captured financial data of nearly 5,000 small-dollar donors to the Trump campaign and related entities, Absolutely none of this made it into the network evening news tonight.
What did the networks fill with? The former American Idol contestant’s guilty murder verdict took priority across ABC, CBS and NBC. The weather was at or near the top as well. There was plenty of time to fully cover the hearings, especially with their detailed revelations of violations of the media’s First amendment rights.
It wasn’t that long ago that the Elitist Media were interested in such stories. When President Trump first announced on September 18th the revocation of White House privileges for CNN, MS NOW and Politico, the networks were all over it. Two minutes and 15 seconds on ABC World News Tonight, three minutes and 1 second on the CBS Evening News, and two minutes and 7 seconds on the NBC Nightly News. And that was just for the first evening of what turned into a weeklong news cycle.
What is the difference between the two stories? We go back to ABC’s Trumpwashing. One story made Trump look bad, the other does not if fully told. That is the gross double standard on display here.
