According to the journalists at NBC’s Today, a Hillary Clinton operative is the perfect person to weigh in on replacing conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Co-host Craig Melvin brought on Ron Klain to blast Republicans for declaring that a new president would pick the next judge, not Obama. 

Both CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today on Thursday devoted lengthy segments to fretting over Hillary Clinton’s failure to gain support among young female voters. Hosts on the two network morning shows wrung their hands while discussing how Clinton was “trounced” in New Hampshire by Bernie Sanders due to her “surprising struggle” to win over women.

On Wednesday, two network morning show hosts had the audacity to accuse a Republican presidential candidate of a lack of “depth.” In an interview with Florida Senator Marco Rubio, NBC Today co-hosts Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie grilled the GOP contender on his recent debate performance and hyped it as “exposing a major flaw.”

While all three network morning shows touted Hillary Clinton’s campaign attacking Bernie Sanders supporters for “sexism,” only NBC’s Today mentioned prominent Clinton surrogate and “feminist icon” Gloria Steinem employing sexist language to attack young women supporting Sanders.

All three network morning shows on Friday celebrated Hillary Clinton’s Thursday night debate performance as if she was a champion prize fighter. On NBC’s Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie proclaimed: “Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders faced off in their most contentious debate yet. Clinton accusing Sanders of running a, quote, ‘artful smear,’ against her.”

On Thursday, all three network morning shows touted Hillary Clinton’s performance at CNN’s Democratic town hall event. On NBC’s Today, correspondent Andrea Mitchell gushed: “A different side of Hillary Clinton was on display Wednesday night.”

On Wednesday, the hosts of CBS This Morning seemed to do Hillary Clinton’s bidding as they used her campaign attack lines to interrogate Senator Bernie Sanders on whether he was a “viable” candidate against the former secretary of state.

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows fretted over Hillary Clinton barely defeating Bernie Sanders in the Iowa caucus. NBC’s Today was the most melodramatic, with co-host Matt Lauer declaring: “Hillary Clinton gets to come out of Iowa and say, technically, ‘I'm the winner,’ but this had to be a near-death experience for the once-presumptive nominee.”

After conducting live softball interviews with Hillary Clinton on Monday, NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America both devoted admiring full reports to the Bernie Sanders campaign as well, both touting his “political revolution.”

While all three network morning shows conducted live interviews with Hillary Clinton on Monday ahead of the Iowa caucus, only CBS This Morning actually brought up her ongoing e-mail scandal. NBC’s Today and ABC’s Good Morning America both ignored the issue and lobbed softballs to the Democratic frontrunner instead.
