The nightly freakout is over. After almost five years, Joy Reid's second MSNBC show The Reidout has been canceled. New MSNBC president Rebecca Kutler is making moves, and it's also expected that Alex Wagner's show will not return after Rachel Maddow returning to her timeslot for the first 100 days of Trump.

On Saturday's edition of MSNBC's The Weekend, former CIA Director and current MSNBC analyst John Brennan claimed it was "absurd" to suggest that President Trump fired C.J. Brown, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, because of his woke agenda. In fact, there is copious evidence of Brown having pushed a DEI agenda.

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough does his best Bernie Sanders impression, ranting against "millionaires and billionaires." Scarborough condemns plans to reduce the number of IRS agents, and to give tax cuts to "billionaires."

CNN being found liable for malicious defamation might have put the fear of God into MSNBC. In a filing obtained by NewsBusters, NBCUniversal and plaintiff Dr. Mahendra Amin had entered into settlement negotiations on Thursday. Although, they’re still working on the language.

Former NFL punter Chris Kluwe went on a wild anti-Trump tirade at a city council meeting on Tuesday that led to him being arrested. On Thursday, he went on MSNBC’s The ReidOut to beat his chest about what a great guy he is for it and accuse anyone who disagrees with him, especially on transgender issues, of being a Nazi.

MSNBC Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough was the latest in a list of dishonorable media figures to tie President Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s budget-cutting efforts to the idea of additional plane crashes. Unlike other analyses, Scarborough’s ramblings come from someone who likes to style himself as one of the few remaining principled conservatives.

In an lengthy interview with Elon Musk that aired Tuesday on the Fox News Channel with Sean Hannity (and taped late last week), President Trump unsurprisingly found time to lambaste the “bad,” “dangerous,” “horrible” liberal media as he and Musk have stood up the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to shrink and tame the leviathan that is the federal government.

Morning Joe devoted a segment today to fretting over Trump arranging peace talks with Russia on Ukraine without, at this stage, the participation of Ukrainian officials.  But the show ignored Zelensky's stunning statement: that Putin is "afraid" of Trump and that while Putin is a "liar," Trump can push him into peace negotiations because he is "scared" of Trump, who is "strong."

On Saturday’s The Weekend, MSNBC brought aboard predictable Trump critic George Conway to insult the President as a “criminal sociopath,” his administration as “a criminal regime,” and his first administration as “Shitshow One.”

MSNBC’s Joy Reid's habit of taking everything to eleven on the outrage scale continued on Thursday’s edition of The ReidOut as she suggested Nazi programming might be coming to The Kennedy Center after President Trump appointed himself the Center’s chairman. Additionally, Reid declared that the reason why Trump appointed himself is because “fascists are terrified of the arts.”
