April 12th, 2023 11:16 AM

The Biden administration thinks it has found a compromise when it comes to transgender athletes who wish to play on women’s sports teams. New proposed regulations under Title IX, the 50-year-old law passed in 1972 which “prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities that receive federal financial assistance, will now include partial protection for transgender…

December 31st, 2022 11:50 AM

With only a few hardened leftists stuck on COVID-19, 2022 represented a year in which more Americans moved on and, thankfully for the team at NewsBusters, the liberal media continued to provide us plenty of content. For our top ten most-read blogs of the year, the topics included Biden’s mental state, the free state of Florida, Hollywood elitism, and Ukraine. For this year, the News Analysis…

October 19th, 2022 5:09 PM

Gallup announced that its latest poll on American trust in the mass media to report the news "fully, accurately, and fairly" hasn't changed a bit from last year. While only 14 percent of Republicans find some trust in the press, 70 percent of Democrats do. Obviously, it's because the Democrats recognize the media as defending Democrats and using their spin and lingo.

Commenting about the FBI executing a search warrant on former president Donald Trump’s Florida home, which he approved, Attorney General Merrick Garland said: “Faithful adherence to the rule of law is the bedrock principle of the Justice Department and of our democracy. … All Americans are entitled to the even-handed application of the law, to due process, and to the presumption of innocence…

May 3rd, 2021 8:57 AM

Americans turned against Big Tech, according to a shocking Gallup poll. The shift from 2019 to 2021 was drastic with Republicans and independents rejecting “large technology companies.” More Americans viewed Big Tech negatively by a wide margin. Gallup reported: “A 45% plurality of U.S. adults have a very or somewhat negative view of these firms."

CNN Twists Gallup Coronavirus Vaccine Survey With Misleading Headline

May 13th, 2020 2:22 PM
CNN twisted a Gallup poll’s results yesterday in an effort to support their narrative that most Americans want a never-ending national lockdown. On Wednesday the network tweeted out a survey which supposedly found 68% of Americans said a vaccine was necessary before “returning to normal.” A headline on their website repeated this claim. But that reporting was quickly debunked by the own data CNN…

October 17th, 2019 9:22 AM
Big tech has presented many problems for the legislators in Washington to tackle. One of those is regulation. Many politicians on both sides of the aisle have discussed government regulation of Big Tech. Government regulation and amending Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act are seen as a solution to the scandals plaguing tech companies.

January 17th, 2018 8:03 PM
While acknowledging that technological advances “have made it easier for Americans to connect with each other and to find information, including details about the major issues facing the country,” a poll conducted in late 2017 by four liberal foundations indicates that media bias and “fake news” are still serious problems.

Culture
July 21st, 2017 2:06 PM
New poll findings reveal that the liberal media, applaud abortion “healthcare” as “moral,” are out of touch with nearly half of the United States. And so, while the media readily cite polls supporting their agenda, it’s doubtful they’ll report this one.

Why the ‘Establishment’ Media Is Finding Itself on Shaky Ground

March 22nd, 2017 2:50 PM
As a member of The Daily Signal team, I took offense to The Washington Post’s recent questioning of our “legitimacy” as a news organization. The Washington Post began its story stating that, “In an age of partisan media, the lines between ‘partisan’ and ‘media’ can sometimes blur.” I wonder if the reporter has taken a look at just how partisan some of our country’s media behemoths actually are.…

March 2nd, 2015 7:17 PM
Ever since House Speaker John Boehner in mid-January invited Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's current prime minister, to speak before both chambers of Congress on Tuesday, March 3, the White House and most members of the press have slammed the fact that the Ohio Republican didn't consult the president before extending the offer, which many Democrats and White House officials have interpreted as an…

September 17th, 2014 5:03 PM

The pollsters at Gallup reported on Wednesday that Americans' confidence in the media's ability to report "the news fully, accurately, and fairly" has dropped to its previous all-time low of 40 percent. That number was at 55 percent in 1999, but hasn’t been above 50 percent since 2005. The media is really struggling among Democrats, who have “traditionally expressed much higher levels of…
