HuffPost Blogger Rips GOP For Opposing Debt Limit Hike; Leaves Out The
There was some huffing at the Huffington Post on Wednesday over House Republicans’ reluctance to pass a clean debt limit increase. Contributing writer Mitchell Bard was glad that the increase was passed, but he was incensed that the vast majority of GOP congressmen (201 of 229) voted against it. He took out his frustrations in a post titled, “Lesson From the House Debt Ceiling Vote: The GOP Is…

Maddow Dares Not Utter Dreaded Party Affiliation of Convicted Mayors
MSNBC's Rachel Maddow briefly departed from her Ahabesque obsession with Bridgegate last night to mention two relatively picayune matters -- a potentially "catastrophic" storm bearing down on the East Coast and two mayors getting convicted on corruption charges.
Anyone familiar with MSNBC's modus operandi knows what to expect from its, uh, "reporting" on political corruption -- if the…

CBS ‘This Morning’ Challenges Sochi Climate Change Hysteria
Climate alarmists really do find the most outlandish evidence possible for global warming. This time, they are pointing to the warm weather in a subtropical region.
Since the Winter Olympics began in Sochi, Russia, broadcast networks have talked extensively about the warm weather in the region, although they have resisted warnings of climate change.

Ed Schultz Slimes Grover Norquist: May Be ‘Race Baiting’ With Anti
It wouldn’t be MSNBC if one of the cable hosts didn’t smear a conservative as racist. On Wednesday, Ed Schultz hinted that Grover Norquist, the head of Americans for Tax Reform, might be “race baiting” by placing ads warning about the impact of unionization.
Schultz was talking to Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen over possible unionization of a Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. …

NPR Spins Euthanasia as 'Medical Care That May Hasten Death
NPR's Richard Knox played up a Pennsylvania judge's dismissal of a homicide case involving admitted euthanasia as "a sign that attitudes about end-of-life decisions are changing, whatever most statutes say," in a Wednesday item for the public radio network's health news blog. Knox euphemistically described the contoversial practice, as he asserted that "the [judge's] decision is the latest in a…

Larry King In Denial: 'I Have Never Seen a Bias, Off Air or On
Larry King lost his CNN show at the end of 2010, but he’s still pitching liberal inanities. Media bias? King’s never seen or heard of such a thing.
"Always annoyed me,” he said. “I worked at CNN for almost 26 years. I worked in Mutual Radio for 20 years. I've been in the business 57 years. I have never seen a bias off the air or on," King told talk-show host Steve Malzberg on Wednesday. He’s…

Race-obsessed WashPost Sports Columnist: Winter Games 'Whiter Than Dow
When you and I watch the Olympics, there's three colors we care about: red, white, and blue.
But for liberal sportswriters like the Washington Post's Mike Wise, well, all they can see is skin tone, and they won't let the games pass without moaning about it. Beating the daylights of his hobby horse, Wise began his Feb. 13 column -- mercifully buried on page D7 -- by highlighting perhaps the…

Liberal Media Schizophrenic Over Wendy Davis's Virtual Flip-Flop on Ab
The latest evidence that Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis can't stay true to her convictions or doesn't have any (take your pick) is her position modification on abortion. Steve Ertelt at Life News relays an underlying Dallas News item, telling his readers that "Davis said she would back a 20-week abortion ban as long as it had two exceptions, to kill disabled babies and a…

Joe Scarborough Thinks He Can Go ‘Toe-to-Toe’ With Hillary? Has He
MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough appeared on the Hugh Hewitt radio show, Wednesday, and agreed with the host that he could go “toe-to-toe” in a 2016 matchup with Hillary Clinton. “Oh yeah,” the Morning Joe host replied and added, “I’m on a television show three hours a day, and I’m usually outnumbered about five to one, which hopefully is a fair fight.” [MP3 audio here.]

Following President Obama's joint press conference with French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday, NBC chief White House correspondent Chuck Todd appeared on MSNBC to dismiss a question Obama received about the latest ObamaCare mandate delay: "Republicans are trying to paint a picture of, 'There they go again. He's changing the law'....I have a feeling this one is gonna fade a little bit.…

MSNBC.com Whines ‘Congress Goes Home, Leaves Unemployed Behind
In yet another example of revisionist history, MSNBC.com’s Suzy Khimm conveniently blamed the GOP for Congress’s failure to extend unemployment benefits, leaving out how Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has repeatedly prevented votes on GOP amendments to offset unemployment benefit spending with cuts elsewhere.
Khimm lamented how "With a major snowstorm approaching the East Coast,…

CNN Hypes ‘Global Warming’ as ‘Catastrophic Ice Storms’ Descen
At least CNN is consistent. It will link any weather event to “global warming” or “climate change” even when its own headquarters is blasted by two major winter storms in a few weeks.
The network’s climate alarmists couldn’t contain their hysteria, even as two “historic” and “brutal” winter storms hit their Atlanta, Georgia HQ, within two weeks of each other.
