MSNBC Warns Trump Border Wall's a 'Terrible Obstacle' for Birds, Bats!

Matt Vespa at Townhall reports that MSNBC found a new way to argue Trump's wall-building on the Mexican border is wrong. MSNBC host Craig Melvin brought on biologist and Animal Planet host Jeff Corwin, who worried out loud that constructing a wall coult hurt not only the Mexican gray wolf, but birds and even bats: “if this border wall happens, it would be an unprecedented environmental…

Play Ball, But Cover Left-Wing Protests: The NYT’s Sports Priorities

Earlier this month, New York Times Public Editor Liz Spayd criticized her paper for covering novelty stories at the expense of bread-and-butter game coverage. After talking about the tactics employed by the paper while covering the NCAA basketball tournament March Madness that focused on off-the-court stuff for a “sophisticated global audience,” a focus on international sports like soccer, and…

Nets Tout Liberal Tax Day Protests; Smeared Tea Party Events in 2009

On Saturday, the major broadcast networks dedicated airtime to the liberal Tax Day protests against President Trump as one network aired a crowd chanting “lock him up,” another refused to acknowledge the anti-Trump violence in California, and all of them declined to label the demonstrations. This coverage of April 15 protests by liberals stood in stark contrast to how ABC, CBS, and NBC dismissed…

Complex Sports: Little Progress on Race in 70 Years

It was highly unlikely that today’s recognition of Jackie Robinson Day by Major League Baseball could come off without some writer playing the race card and attacking President Donald Trump. Shakeia Taylor, writing on the Complex Sports blog, incredibly claims we actually haven’t progressed much on race since Robinson became the first Black major leaguer 70 years ago.

NPR Spreads Old Lie That Planned Parenthood Offers Mammograms

Two years ago, The Washington Post “Fact Checker” declared it was a “Three Pinocchios” lie to claim (or imply) Planned Parenthood offers mammograms.  The most liberal news outlets still spread this untruth. On Friday’s All Things Considered, NPR health policy correspondent Alison Kodjak was the offender as she reported on President Trump’s reversal of Barack Obama’s attempt to preserve Planned…

Hannity, Me and the Media’s Liberal Mania

Before this story recedes into the distant past of more than a couple weeks, let’s take one more look at that encounter on CBS between Fox’s Sean Hannity and Ted Koppel. And oh yes, my own version of the liberal mania coming at me, as William F. Buckley described it, with “lance cocked.”

The True Jesus

I have a new book out -- "The True Jesus," which is my third Christian-themed book -- and I want to tell you a little bit about it. In my previous books, I related that I didn't always embrace the Bible and that I came to accept Jesus Christ later than some people do -- after studying the evidence for Christianity's truth claims. Contrary to a common misconception, there is an abundance of…

USA Today Thought MOAB Was Almost As Destructive as Hiroshima A-Bomb

On Thursday, the U.S. military dropped a MOAB (Mother Of All Bombs) on an ISIS tunnel complex in Nangahar Province in Afghanistan. Shortly after that, USA Today posted a breathtakingly ignorant graphic purporting to show that the MOAB contained over 70 percent of the destructive force of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, Japan.

Hollywood Reporter: ‘Handmaid’ a 'Timely Warning' on 'Despotic Forces'

Hollywood Reporter critic Daniel Fienberg found ominous parallels in The Handmaid’s Tale a series on Hulu that debuts its first three episodes April 26. The subhead: “Hulu's all-too-timely adaptation of Margaret Atwood's novel is one of the spring's best new shows and makes Elisabeth Moss an immediate Emmy contender.”

Marvel Meltdown? Comic Yanked, Artists Shun Red States

Marvel just yanked a comic book filled with hidden anti-Jewish messages. Yet that's hardly the comic book giant's only problem lately. You’d think business would be booming at Team Marvel. The comic book giant is the recognized leader in the superhero film universe. Both critics and fans cheer on every new Marvel Studios outing, down to the micro wonders of 2015’s Ant Man.

Bozell & Graham Column: PBS 'Learning' to Love Suicide Bombers?

On April 5, The New York Times published an op-ed by retired Gen. Stanley McChrystal headlined “Save PBS. It Makes Us Safer.” McChrystal now runs a big lobbying firm, so that may be why he cares so much: he’s a gun for hire. So how does the general think PBS makes us “safer,” and from what? The answer: commercialism. But PBS isn't making us safer from suicide bombers. It's teaching the need to…

CNN Was 'Extremely Close' to Prying Into O'Reilly's Divorce Records

Just how negative was CNN prepared to go to get Bill O’Reilly fired from Fox News and make it a little easier for Anderson Cooper to score some ratings? The Hollywood Reporter revealed CNN was “extremely close” to going to court to pry into O’Reilly’s divorce records. This is fascinating, since in 1998, CNN was lamenting two days after President Clinton lied about having sex with Monica Lewinsky…

Patinkin: Who are the 'Bad Guys'; 'White Men' Or Muslims?

Appearing as a guest on Friday's MTP Daily on MSNBC, liberal actor Mandy Patinkin of Showtime's Homeland series bizarrely suggested that "white men" in the government and military were "the bad guys" in their dealings with Muslims. His hyperbolic suggestion came as he recalled that the latest season of the show has turned toward portraying Muslims more sympathetically in reaction to charges that…

'Fact Checkers' Overwhelmingly Target Right-Wing Pols and Pundits

Thursday at NewsBusters, I noted that all of the major-media "fact-checking" efforts recognized by Duke University's ReportersLab.org website lean left, and that almost all of them are quite decidedly on the left. That only begins to explain how the "fact-checkers" are distorting the news landscape.
