Williams: Black Support For Voter ID 'Amazing'; Voter Fraud Is 'Rare'

Poor Juan Williams. So occasionally correct, as when he wrote forcefully on the damage done by an urban culture which has made so many black children "believe that excelling in math and science is 'acting white.'" But he's also so often egregiously wrong, perhaps never moreso than in his Monday column at the Hill. Williams is astonished that a recent poll, consistent with others, shows that over…

Variety Blasts NBC for Going ‘Way Too Easy’ on Rachel Dolezal

In a Tuesday article, Variety’s co-editor-in-chief Andrew Wallenstein slammed NBC for its series of exclusive interviews with ex-NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal: “...the most absurd aspect of NBC News’ Dolezal Day was how straight-faced its interviewers sat as their subject grew loonier the more she spoke.”

Entertainment Weekly Puts Trans Actor on Cover as Statue of Liberty

Entertainment Weekly put transgender actor Charles "Laverne" Cox dressed as the Statue of Liberty on its cover for the June 19 issue, a "special LGBT issue." The unsubtle message over his head was "AMERICA'S TRANSFORMATION." (Italics theirs.)  Inside the cover story came with a gooey headline: “Lady Liberated: Laverne Cox is the most famous transgender actress in America. She might also be the…

HuffPo Blogger: ‘I Sometimes Don't Want to Be White Either’

The media are lending an ear – and a platform – to those who believe “being white” can “drive you to do the weird and unthinkable,” as exemplified by former NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal. University of Pennsylvania Professor Ali Michael recently disclosed, “I Sometimes Don't Want to Be White Either,” in a June 16 blog published by The Huffington Post’s Black Voices.  In it, Michael described “the…

Trump Slams Stephanopoulos on His Sketchy Clinton Connections

George Stephanopoulos's sketchy connections to the Clintons were thrown back in his face on Wednesday. The Good Morning America co-anchor interviewed presidential candidate Donald Trump. During a lightning round on Trump's thoughts about Republicans, Stephanopoulos brought up Hillary Clinton. The candidate derided: "Of course, you shouldn't be talking to me about that, in all fairness. You…

NYT Double Standard on Terrorist Blame: Muslims Innocent, GOP Guilty

Scott Shane's front-page New York Times Tuesday on a liberal mosque in Boston, a city that's hosted a growing number of Islamic terrorists and extremists, focused on a liberal mosque that promotes tolerance: "Muslims Work To Shed Stigma Tied to Terror – in Boston, a Tolerant Vision of Islam." But Shane's feverish defense of peaceful American Muslims calls up questions of his own previous story,…

What the Media Won’t Tell You About the Pride Parade

Last Saturday, more than 150,000 people gathered in D.C. for the Capital Pride Parade — a celebration of all things LGBT. Sadly, for the first time in the event’s 40-year history, the Boy Scouts of America participated in the march. Banners were also carried by the D.C. Public Schools and Library, the police and branches of the U.S. Military, as well as an assortment of private sponsors.

Oxymoronic: Hillary's Manufactured Authentic Moments

Nothing says raw, real and unfiltered like a Hillary moment manufactured by a horde of hacks, handlers and hangers-on.  On today's Morning Joe, Kasie Hunt observed that in this election cycle, "the demand seems to be for raw, unfiltered, real type of moments. I think that they're trying very hard to create that with her." Jon Meacham—seizing the oxymoronic irony—jumped in: "they're manufacturing…

Bozell & Graham Column: Jake Tapper vs. Sputtering Bill Clinton

CNN’s Jake Tapper kicked off his new hosting gig on the Sunday news show “State of the Union” featuring an interview with Bill Clinton, arranged through his Clinton Global Initiative. It’s a big name, but a tough start for a serious journalist. With the exception of his infamous snorting, knee-jabbing performance with Chris Wallace in 2006, the former president has negotiated a succession of…
