On Thursday, California Democratic Party chairman Eric Bauman resigned the position after allegations of sexual misconduct arose last week. The accusations were serious, with the state party vice chairman leading the charge for Bauman’s outer. But from when the story first broke last Saturday to Bauman’s resignation, the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) couldn’t be bothered to report any of it during their morning or evening news programs.
The camp set up for the Central American caravan in Tijuana was on “lockdown” on Sunday as Mexican residents of the city attempted to storm the area in protest. The unwelcome arrival of the caravan had put tremendous pressure on Tijuana’s resources resulting in many locals taking to the streets in opposition. It was a serious and dangerous development that went completely unreported during ABC’s World News Tonight and NBC Nightly News Monday evening.
On Wednesday, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force raided an apartment in Sacramento, California and arrested Omar Ameen, a man wanted in Iraq on charges he murdered a police officer while flying the ISIS banner. Court documents reportedly show that he snuck into the U.S. by lying his way through the refugee vetting system, something liberals suggested was impossible. To apparently preserve that narrative, ABC and NBC had omitted the arrest from their morning and evening programs on Thursday.
On Thursday, San Francisco began a campaign to register illegal immigrants so they could vote in school board elections. Instead of reporting on that controversial liberal policy, ABC and NBC chose to focus on frivolous topics like the Brady house. ABC also fawned over Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen playing together at Madison Square Garden, while NBC touted Baltimore banning sugary drinks from kid’s menus and parents fighting at Little League games.
After news broke that, on Thursday, a gunman trying to perpetrate a mass shooting in Oklahoma City was stopped by two armed citizens who used their own guns against him, FNC has given the story a substantial amount of attention while ABC and CBS have also run full stories on the event. But CNN barely touched the story, burying it between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m Eastern in a couple of 25-second briefs Friday morning, while NBC and MSNBC have ignored it entirely.
While the broadcast networks spent Wednesday focusing on a Senate hearing they were hoping would implicate President Trump in obstruction of justice, they ignored a House Oversight Committee report that showed President Obama’s administration did just that. “An absolutely blistering report tonight out saying the Obama administration in general and former Attorney General Eric Holder in particular repeatedly lied to the family of a slain Border Patrol officer about the weapons used in his death, and stonewalled efforts to get at the truth,” announced Fox News’ Bret Baier on Special Report.
With the liberal media continuing its full-court press obsession over the Donald Trump campaign and the endorsement of Sarah Palin, the “big three” of ABC, CBS, and NBC partnered with Spanish-language network Telemundo to ignore on Wednesday a new development in the Fast and Furious scandal as a weapon involved in the gun running was connected to the now-captured Mexican drug lord El Chapo.
"Acting ATF Director Kenneth Melson has been reassigned to a lesser post in the Justice Department and the U.S. attorney for Arizona was also pushed out Tuesday as fallout from Operation Fast and Furious reached new heights," Fox News's William LaJeunesse reported earlier today.
"U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota B. Todd Jones will replace Melson," LaJeunesse added.
