After refusing to report on New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan condemning the “offensive” and “patronizing” anti-Catholic rhetoric revealed in leaked e-mails from Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta, on Friday, the hosts of NBC’s Today committed journalistic malpractice by continuing to ignore the controversy during an interview with the Church leader. 

During back-to-back hostile interviews on CBS This Morning and NBC’s Today on Friday, Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence attempted to force the networks to actually cover the controversy swirling around the Wikileaks release of thousands of Clinton campaign e-mails. However, every time he raised the topic, the morning show hosts promptly cut him off.

On Monday, the hosts on NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning demanded Donald Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway explain herself for daring to invite Bill Clinton’s sexual assault accusers to Sunday night’s debate. By contrast, Hillary Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook got nothing but softballs tossed his way on the same morning shows.

Appearing on Thursday’s NBC Today to promote new episodes of his Netflix sitcom The Ranch, actor Ashton Kutcher touted the show as being like “a country song” and surprisingly told viewers it would represent the “conservative point of view” of “rural America.”

In a hostile interview with Mike Pence on Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie actually interrupted the exchange to play a 26-second clip of a Clinton campaign attack ad ripping the Indiana Governor’s vice presidential debate performance. She then demanded Pence respond to the partisan hit job.

In the moments following Tuesday’s lone 2016 vice presidential debate, ABC and NBC did their best to offer an overarching spin that while Democratic Senator Tim Kaine (Va.) constantly and in many cases rudely interrupted Republican Governor Mike Pence (Ind.) and moderator Elaine Quijano, the debate won’t matter much to final result and Kaine actually won despite his lack of decorum.

After NBC’s Today spent three straight days scolding Donald Trump for even thinking about mentioning Bill Clinton’s habitual mistreatment of women, on Wednesday, the morning show had no trouble doing the Clinton campaign’s bidding by touting allegations of Trump’s “sexist behavior.”

Following Monday night’s presidential debate, Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence visited all three network morning shows on Tuesday and was repeatedly hammered by hosts over Donald Trump’s debate performance. Hostile questions accusing Trump of everything from lying to tax evasion were hurled at the Indiana governor. 

On Monday’s Today, co-hosts Matt Lauer and Savannah Guthrie conducted back-to-back interviews with Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager Robby Mook and Donald Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway. While Mook was treated to softballs about Clinton’s strategy, Conway was hammered on Trump being an “aggressor” who likes to “hurl insults.”

In a contentious interview with Donald Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway on Monday’s NBC Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie scolded the Republican nominee for joking about inviting Bill Clinton mistress Gennifer Flowers to the upcoming presidential debate and warned Trump against mentioning the former president’s sex scandals during the event.  

On Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer proudly announced that the network had received an Emmy award for its biased coverage of the Supreme Court’s 2013 ruling legalizing gay marriage across the country.
