According to the “mainstream media,” whatever President Trump does is wrong. If he wants to visit the two cities where mass shootings took place last weekend, he should not do that while the people there are in mourning. If he still goes and dares to refer to himself and his staff while praising the actions of the medical personnel treating the victims, that’s wrong as well. Not surprisingly, that was the case when Don Lemon, host of the weekday program CNN Tonight, criticized Trump on Wednesday evening by stating: “It’s not about you. It’s not about YOU. For once!”
Disgraced former news anchor Dan Rather has been enjoying a lengthy comeback with the liberal media propping him up for being an outspoken member of the anti-Trump resistance. He was welcomed by race-baiting CNN host Don Lemon on CNN Tonight Monday, to explain why the press needed to stop quoting the President, and instead, psychoanalyze what he says.
The past couple of weeks have brought the latest example of liberal news outfits like CNN and MSNBC suddenly taking notice of a recurring problem in immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump's administration which also happened during past administrations, including that of Barack Obama. A number of shows pounced on the story of natural-born American citizen, Francisco Galicia, who was detained by CBP and handed over to ICE in a process that took over three weeks because of suspicions that he was an illegal immigrant, in spite of him having his birth certificate on him, as a number of news reports suggested that his detention was racially motivated, with much of the coverage omitting aspects of the story which help explain why the detention happened in the first place.
Democratic presidential candidate and self-proclaimed “spiritual leader” Marianne Williamson made headlines in the first of the recent Democratic debates in Detroit by saying this of the water crisis that has plagued nearby Flint, Michigan. Said she, as reported here by USA Today:
Even to the untrained eye, it is still very obvious that CNN is a mouthpiece for the Democratic Party. A former employee of the network and current radio host Chris Plante joined Thursday’s Tucker Carlson Tonight to discuss the corruption that has seeped into the foundation of the liberal media outlet.
In a shameful display Monday night, CNN host Don Lemon viciously attacked his guest, Pastor Bill Owens, for daring to meet with President Trump. Lemon progressively got nastier with his antagonistic questioning when Owens wouldn’t call the President, racist. Lemon even went so far as to attack the pastor’s Christian faith and character.
Don Lemon did it again. On the second night of CNN’s Democratic debate, the CNN Tonight host pushed the candidates on the stage to attack President Trump’s “racist rhetoric” and “racist tweets attacking Baltimore.” Over the course of two nights Lemon, in his role as moderator, used his questions to pontificate on Trump’s “racism” – as if the Democratic candidates wouldn’t have done that anyway.
Even though CNN chose three of the network’s most well-known journalists to host the Democratic debates in Detroit, females from a number of liberal advocacy groups have criticized the selection for not including a woman of color as a moderator. To further their complaints, leaders of three organizations have started an online petition to insist that from now on, each presidential debate must have at least one black female moderator because “voters are more diverse than ever before, and this year’s primaries feature the most diverse group of candidates in modern history.”
On Tuesday, NewsBusters asked how anybody could take Don Lemon seriously as a debate moderator, since the CNN host has used his show to relentlessly promote lefty policies and politicians, and launch invectives against Donald Trump and his supporters. That rage against Trump was on display at Tuesday night’s Democratic debate. The following are Lemon’s most obnoxious questions from the left as aired on the July 30 CNN Democratic debate.
Just over an hour into CNN’s Democratic primary debate on Tuesday night, Southbend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg suggested that the solution to gun violence in America was to amend the Constitution of the United States – presumably by limiting, changing, or removing the Second Amendment. Yet CNN’s moderators did not so much as acknowledge this radical suggestion, let asking the Mayor to clarify his remarks.
During his closing argument Monday night, CNN host Chris Cuomo brought up the shooting in Gilroy, California. While his closing monologue stayed away from gun control lectures for the most part, Cuomo could not resist using the shooting as an excuse to trash President Trump.
CNN has dozens of anchors and political journalists, yet the network chose the Democrat-adoring, Trump-despising, black hole conspiracy theorist Don Lemon to join the more reasonable Jake Tapper and Dana Bash as moderators of this week’s two-night Democratic presidential debates. The following is a very brief look (via the MRC’s archives) at Lemon’s most incendiary and obnoxious outbursts during his tenure at CNN.
