Gayle King and the journalists at CBS This Morning on Tuesday grilled Fox News anchor Bret Baier about the departure of Shepard Smith from the network, baiting him to divine what exactly Smith meant when he said that the “truth will always matter.” Appearing to talk about his latest historical book, co-host Tony Dokoupil highlighted, “I think it surprised a lot of people at the network. He said in his closing remarks, ‘The truth will always matter.’ What was your reaction?”
Hot off the presses is the highly anticipated Ronan Farrow book, Catch and Kill, detailing the dubious actions on the part of NBC in an effort to cover up allegations of sexual misconduct within its own walls. Farrow granted an interview with Fox’s Special Report Wednesday to discuss the need for accountability on the part of the network and the media as a whole.
In a Wednesday bombshell by The New York Times, which confirmed what many suspected, Democratic Congressman and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (CA) was apparently tipped off to the whistleblower complaint before it was filed. Meanwhile, during their evening newscasts, ABC’s World News Tonight and CBS Evening News latched onto soundbites of Schiff accusing President Trump of wrongdoing and ignored the accusations against Schiff.
The New York Times spun the crank on the liberal media outrage machine one more time, on Monday, when they published a story panicking over Attorney General William Barr speaking to Australia during the course of his investigation into the origins of the Russia probe. And while ABC, CBS, and NBC were up in arms that same evening, the panel on Fox News Channel’s Special Report put the brakes on their narrative with some inconvenient truth.
While the liberal broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) were busy fawning over the bitter ranting of radical climate teen Greta Thunberg at the United Nations on Monday, they completely ignored her cohorts in Washington, D.C. staging an illegal protest to shut down the city’s major traffic arteries, resulting in an all-day traffic nightmare in the nation’s capital.
On Fox News Channel's Special Report, panelist Amy Walter says: "if right now a Democratic president said let’s ban all handguns, all firearms of all sorts, the Democratic mayor of Chicago would be like great, sign me up. I’m happy to do it. And you can’t sell guns anywhere to in or around any state, they would be happy to do it." Panelist Matthew Continetti observes: "and that would be the end of the Democratic party."
It was another bad day on Wednesday for The Resistance as it was revealed that the Southern District of New York had ended their probe concerning the Trump Organization and alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy model Karen McDougal. And on cue, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News saw no reason to acknowledge this while ABC's World News Tonight only gave it a 16-second news brief.
In a move that's not shocking, considering how the mainstream media feels about Donald Trump, MSNBC and the networks will not carry his Fourth of July address to the nation. Instead, the liberal cable channel and the network news on ABC, CBS and NBC will only show clips from the event, which is still being carried in real time by their respective online and app streaming platforms, as well as the Fox News Channel and C-SPAN.
Reacting to the Bernie Sanders town hall on Fox News, Morning Joe praises FNC for opening the door to different points of view. DNC chairman Tom Perez is criticized for prohibiting FNC from conducting a Dem presidential debate. And panel members praise as fair FNC personalities Bret Baier, Martha McCallum, Chris Wallace, Bill Hemmer, and Shep Smith.
What kind of Twilight Zone are we living in when Democrats pretend that the mainstream media are objective journalists and Fox News is an arm of the Trump administration? People are always talking about media bias, so why am I bringing this up now? Well, because of two news alerts that popped up on my phone. First, I read that the Democratic National Committee is refusing to partner with Fox News for the 2020 primary debates.
In his first-ever appearance on Fox News Channel’s Special Report, legendary conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh shared his analysis Thursday night on everything from the Special Counsel report, to the 2020 election, to the “drive-by media’s” influence on our discourse. It was on that latter topic Limbaugh really ripped onto the liberal media for their twisted world view the last few years.
It was a meeting worth taking note of, not just because President Trump was meeting with the so-called “Trump of the Tropics” but because of what it could mean for both countries going forward, and for dealing with the crisis in Venezuela. But the broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC) were apparently bored by Trump’s Tuesday meeting with Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and ignored it altogether.
