James Comer Subpoenas Mayorkas for Hunter Biden Records, Nets Ignore

September 5th, 2023 8:24 PM

On Tuesday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer issued six subpoenas for documents related to the investigation into Hunter Biden's tax records and the numerous examples of misconduct by the Biden Justice Department and alleged attempted coverup of Hunter's wrongdoing. While both Fox News Channel's Special Report and Fox News Digital covered the subpoenas, all three evening news broadcasts ignored it.

Instead of doing their job, the three network newscasts of ABC's World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, and NBC Nightly News decided to be derelict in their journalistic duties and waste airtime on nonsense stories like local weather reports (ABC & NBC), and a pier collapse at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (CBS).

"House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has subpoenaed Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, several department aides, and Secret Service officials," Special Report anchor Bret Baier reported during the brief 24-second segment (which proved the networks do have time to cover this story and they simply choose not to).

Baier noted that Comer was "looking for documents and testimony related to the Secret Service's alleged tip-off of the Biden transition team regarding a planned Hunter Biden tax probe interview in 2020."

"Comer is also accusing the agencies of obstructing the congressional investigation," Baier added.

This latest example of the three networks refusing to cover the news was just one more piece of evidence on top of the mounting pile of reasons why, as MRC founder and president Brent Bozell noted, Congress should work to revoke their broadcast licenses. They don't do their jobs, so they shouldn't be on the air.

This censorship by the three networks was made possible thanks to WeatherTech (ABC), Ensure (CBS), & Liberty Mutual (NBC).
