Dr. Richard Ebeling, professor of economics at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and my longtime friend and colleague, has written an important article, “Business Ethics and Morality of the Marketplace,” appearing in the American Institute for Economic Research. Its importance and timeliness is enhanced by so many of America's youth, led by academic hacks, having fallen prey to the siren song of socialism.
Apologies to Elton John, but in Washington and throughout so much of the country, can you feel the hate tonight? House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was asked by reporter James Rosen if she hates President Trump. She responded with an “if looks could kill ” fire in her eyes and denounced Rosen for his question while claiming she doesn't hate Trump. Former Vice President Joe Biden verbally attacked and challenged an 83-year-old man in Iowa to a push-up contest at a gathering of Democrats.
A record 28 million plus Hispanics in the United States were employed in November, 2019, but from what the Spanish-speaking nets convey, Latinos are – and must remain - eternally dependent on government assistance.
The hosts of The View were all over the map on Monday’s show while discussing the latest strong jobs report that was released Friday. Unable to face facts, the hosts tried to argue the economy was actually a negative for Trump. The liberal hosts suddenly pretended to care about the rising deficit, while at the same time, griping that more money wasn't being put into food stamps. Co-host Joy Behar even suggested that half the country supported impeaching Trump because the economy wasn't benefiting them.
As our sister site CNS News pointed out, Friday morning’s jobs report was a smashing success for the American economy with “a whopping 266,000 jobs in November; and for the sixth month in a row, a record number of Americans were counted as employed.” The unemployment rate fell “to 3.5 percent, a 50-year low.” But when it came time for the Friday broadcast network evening newscasts, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News couldn’t be bothered with spending more than a short news brief (21 seconds each) on the story.
While the liberal media continue their ongoing impeachment obsession, and with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) directing her chairmen to draft articles of impeachment, the jobs market and stock market continue to steamroll along. “Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 266,000 in November, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 3.5 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today,” according to a Dec. 6 United States Bureau of Labor Statistics News Release.
At this point, it’s no longer surprising that the liberal media aren’t willing to give President Donald Trump an inch of positive coverage, especially when approval trends shift in his favor. A new Dec. 2 report from CNBC revealed that “Sixty percent of small business owners approve of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president.”
This week, Paul Krugman of The New York Times posited a theory: Red states cause depression and suicide. In a column titled “America's Red State Death Trip,” Krugman wrote: “In 1990, today's red and blue states had almost the same life expectancy. Since then, however, life expectancy in Clinton states has risen more or less in line with other advanced countries, compared with almost no gain in Trump country. At this point, blue-state residents can expect to live more than four years longer than their red-state counterparts.”
Good news is always welcome, especially when our own pockets are concerned. However, a recent Telemundo report about remittances from the United States to Mexico went overboard in plugging a Spanish bank with a subsidiary in Mexico.
Just how unknowledgeable about the economy is Joy Reid? So much so that it drove even the liberal Ron Insana . . . insane, obliging him to correct her misstatements.
