Rather than offer medical analysis, CNN medical analyst Dr. Celine Gounder used her platform to add to the relentless media criticism of President Trump’s decision to hold an outdoor 4^th of July celebration at Mount Rushmore.

Is there anything sillier than The New York Times calling anyone else's tone "dark and divisive"? The paper’s Twitter feed captured the tone: “President Trump delivered a dark and divisive speech at Mount Rushmore, leaning into the culture wars and barely mentioning the pandemic.”

If the daily deaths from COVID-19 were rising, it is a pretty safe bet that almost all of the mainstream media would be highlighting that statistic. Most likely you would see it in either the headlines or the first paragraphs of reports about the virus. Instead you very rarely see the statistics for the daily COVID-19 deaths. Can you guess why?

On Friday's Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough goes on a quasi-religious rant, praising Dr. Fauci and commanding people to believe him, while condemning President Trump for his alleged lies about the coronavirus.
