Within moments of the broadcast networks coming on the air Tuesday night with their midterm coverage, ABC, CBS, and NBC had the long knives out for Republicans, condemning their “nativist,” “white-hot rhetoric” creating “one of the most divisive midterms in our lifetime” that was marred by “hate, violence and tragedy.”

As the first polls began the close, liberal broadcast networks ABC and NBC were touting how confident the Democrats appeared despite lingering worries from 2016. As they were nearing the end of their political coverage for World News Tonight, ABC anchor David Muir noted: “the Democrats are projecting confidence as well, as you might expect.”

Appearing on MSNBC Live With Craig Melvin late Tuesday morning, left-wing Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart accused anyone voting for Republicans in the midterm elections of being “okay” with “racism.” Asked later if some Democrats running in red states were “perhaps a little left of the center,” he dismissed such concerns and insisted they were just living their “truth.”

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough says that not judging friends according to their vote is "a little harder to do in 2018."  Scarborough had tweeted that those voting for "Trump," [i.e., Republicans] are voting for "lies" and "racism."

On Monday afternoon, the day before Election Day, MSNBC was still running with already discredited charges of "voter suppression" by Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp as the Republican runs for governor of the state. MSNBC host Ali Velshi claimed that "actual voter suppression" is an "urgent problem" in this year's election.

At the end of her 2:00 p.m. ET hour show on Monday, MSNBC anchor Katy Tur laughably told her liberal viewers that the reliably left-wing cable channel was not their “safe space” and that “news should make you uncomfortable.” She made those claims just seconds after playing a clip of herself lecturing Trump supporters at a rally in defense of overwhelmingly negative media coverage of the President…

To put it simply, CNN is lying to its viewers whenever folks like Ana Navarro are presented as a “Republican strategist.” The Jeffrey Zucker-led circus did just that on Monday afternoon’s CNN Newsroom as the panel giggled and marveled at Navarro’s turn to the left offering childish insults about Republicans and vote for Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.

Writing in an expansive piece entitled “The Eruption” for the Outlook section of Sunday’s Washington Post, non-fiction book critic Carlos Lozada compared Trump voters to “military units,” “cancer cells,” and even “explosives” because they have all been “activated” with Trump voters being “activated” as bigots running roughshod over American politics.

The View began their show Monday by addressing the Saturday Night Live controversy where comedian Pete Davidson mocked a wounded veteran who also happened to be a Republican running in an upcoming midterm election. While even some of the liberal hosts at The View’s table said Davidson needed to apologize for the rude remark, co-host Joy Behar repeatedly defended the show and comedian, saying it…

On NBC’s Today show on Monday, Saturday Night Live’s Kenan Thompson acknowledged that fellow cast member Pete Davidson “definitely missed the mark” when he mocked Republican congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw’s appearance, a former Navy S.E.A.L. who lost his eye during combat in Afghanistan.

During Saturday morning's AM Joy show, as MSNBC's Katy Tur on location at a Brian Kemp campaign event in Georgia spoke with a Republican guest, Tur still seemed unaware that claims of "voter suppression" against state Republicans have been debunked as she asked why so many voters on the pending registration list are minorities.
