Thursday’s festivities included Latina (ahem LatinX) actress Eva Longoria trashing President Trump and the white patriarchy for “attacking” her as both a Latino and as a woman.

The mandatory machine recount in Florida wrapped up Thursday to the joy of Congressman Ron DeSantis as he unofficially became governor-elect. Filling in for Katy Tur during the 2:00 p.m. ET hour on Thursday, MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt touted a wildly slanted question that she hurled at Republican Congressman Kevin McCarthy during a Wednesday press conference, grilling the incoming House Minority Leader about the GOP being “more male and more white” following losses in the midterm elections.

CBS This Morning co-hosts scored an exclusive interview with the newly chosen House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy. But the network journalists chose to spend the entire interview demanding he answer for a lack of diversity within the Republican Party. 

Appearing on MSNBC Thursday morning to defend Democrat Stacey Abrams’ refusal to concede the race for governor in Georgia and hurl accusations of voter suppression against Republican Brian Kemp, Abrams campaign manager Lauren Groh-Wargo touted support from disgraced former CBS News anchor Dan Rather and MSNBC’s own Joe Scarborough.

On Wednesday's MSNBC Live, host Stephanie Ruhle and correspondent Chris Jansing gushed over a group of liberal women "mama bears" who became political activists in Georgia as the two MSNBC journalists did not bother to label them as liberals or Democrats.

On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough scolds Democrats seeking to prevent Nancy Pelosi from becoming Speaker. Joe repeatedly praises Pelosi as highly "competent," and analogizes her to Alex Cora, manager of the World Series-winning Red Sox, suggesting that denying Pelosi the Speakership would be as illogical as replacing Cora. 

MIAMI — Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) had the best line when it comes to the latest Florida election in which contests for governor and the U.S. Senate are still undecided. Rubio tweeted: "Bay County was hit by a Cat 4 Hurricane just 4 weeks ago, yet managed to count votes & submit timely results. Yet over 41 hours after polls closed #Broward elections office is still counting votes?"

Despite promising that correspondent Oprah Winfrey was “stepping away” from the network due to her active campaigning for Democrats, CBS allowed Winfrey back on This Morning, Wednesday, to promote Michelle Obama’s new book. In total, Democrat Winfrey and Democratic donor/co-host Gayle King have devoted 22 minutes and 44 seconds to the former First Lady’s new book, Becoming.
