On Wednesday, The Right Scoop reported on MSNBC anchor Chuck Todd fretting that Democrats were headed for massive electoral defeat: “Todd says that Democrats are in for a shellacking at the midterms later this year because of a new poll they’ve taken on the direction of the country.”

Things got heated on Wednesday’s edition of The View as co-host Sunny Hostin blew up at guest-host and Lincoln Project-conservative Tara Setmayer after the former suggested that President Biden can’t govern via executive order. Hostin was so unhinged that she started shouting about how “You can't build consensus with crazy people!”

I just received a fundraising email from Nancy Pelosi's PAC headlined "CNN just admitted" claiming Marco Rubio was in political danger. CNN "just revealed he's "in danger of losing." But nobody on CNN "just revealed" such a thing. The last poll has Rubio up 12. It turns out it's a CNN.com list from seven weeks ago on CNN.com that said Rubio "starts as the favorite." 

The New York Times “On Politics” newsletter dealt with the latest racist atrocity committed by a Republican: “Republican in Ohio Senate Primary Spoke Offensively About Asians.” The subhead: “Mike Gibbons, a leading contender to succeed Senator Rob Portman, made the comments in a 2013 podcast on doing business in China.” The Times huffed: "The leading Republican candidate in…

On her MSNBC show early Wednesday afternoon, host Andrea Mitchell hoped that the war in Ukraine “at least is helping the Democrats” politically heading into the midterm elections. Washington Post deputy national editor Phil Rucker agreed with her partisan assessment and touted how President Biden was trying to falsely use the conflict as a “scapegoat” for high gas prices.

MSNBC’s Morning Joe decided on Wednesday to engage in comically dumb wishcasting about President Biden’s State of the Union address, insisting Tuesday’s speech was “brilliant,” “rallying,” a “return to normalcy” and “very unifying” as it showcased “the expanse of his personality in full blossom” and why Biden was made for this moment amid Russia’s war.
