Electing a president, especially in a dangerous world, is important work. Anger and emotion should not govern the choice. Considered judgment should. Trump appeals to the former, but not the latter.

Appearing as a guest on Tuesday's CNN Newsroom with Carol Costello, CNN political analyst and Daily Beast editor-in-chief John Avlon declared that Republicans should be blamed for creating Donald Trump and Ted Cruz as he asserted that the "conservative playbook" has showed "intolerance" toward those not in line with them ideologically.

ABC on Tuesday deliberately avoided a young questioner who challenged Hillary Clinton as “dishonest.”  Instead, Good Morning America reporter Cecilia Vega only played the Democrat’s response in which she touted her desire to help people. NBC’s Today and CBS This Morning both played clips of the “uncomfortable" question, but they also made sure to promote her non-answer. 

Appearing on Tuesday’s NBC Today, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd touted President Obama giving a boost to Hillary Clinton’s struggling campaign during a softball exchange with Politico’s Glenn Thrush: “...this is something where the President was trying to do her a solid in this case.”  

The entertainment types that form Hillary Clinton's Hollywood base continue to show up in Iowa, trying to dig the political superstar out of her growing deficit to geriatric Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders.
