Facebook, Instagram (And Even Peloton) Censor ‘Stop the Steal’ Content from Platforms

Big Tech still isn’t done cracking down on conservatives.

Facebook, Instagram and even Peloton, have decided to remove “Stop the Steal” content from their platforms.

“We are now removing content containing the phrase ‘stop the steal’ under our Coordinating Harm policy from Facebook and Instagram. We removed the original Stop the Steal group in November and have continued to remove Pages, groups and events that violate any of our policies, including calls for violence,” Facebook said in a blog post.

Facebook had previously censored the #stopthesteal hashtag, but will now remove even mentions of the phrase.

However, Facebook is not the only company that has banned mentions of “Stop the Steal.” Even Peloton has jumped on to the censorship train, or at least the censorship stationary bike.

Peloton “is now preventing users from creating a #StopTheSteal tag from within the app, saying the tag does not ‘meet our guidelines’ when a user goes to create it. Peloton’s community guidelines specifically ban ‘hate, offensive, and obscene speech’ as well as ‘bullying, harassment, and other offensive behavior,’” The Verge reported. “The #BlueLivesMatter and #BlackLivesMatter tags are still allowed within the app.”

Many on the left would like to claim that the censorship is not politically motivated and that these platforms are neutral. However, Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, proved that wrong, tweeting: “We’re not neutral. No platform is neutral, we all have values and those values influence the decisions we make. We try and be apolitical, but that’s increasingly difficult, particularly in the US where people are more and more polarized.”

In recent days, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, Reddit, TikTok and even Shopify have all censored President Donald Trump, and the left, clearly, is neither finished nor satisfied.

Conservatives are under attack.
