EXCLUSIVE: Levin Tells Bozell the Media Promoted American Marxism from the 'Fringes'

July 9th, 2021 2:52 PM

Media Research Center Founder and President Brent Bozell recorded an exclusive interview with Mark Levin about his forthcoming book American Marxism. You can read Bozell's positive book review at Breitbart, where he called it Levin's most important book ever. And to see the full video of the interview, check out the video at the bottom of the page.

Bozell asked Levin about his chapter on "Propaganda, Censorship, and Subversion":

BRENT BOZELL: If the American news media were doing their job, do you think American Marxism would exist today?

MARK LEVIN: That is a great question, and the answer is I don’t think it would. I think it would be a mostly impotent movement. It would remain on the fringes where it started. But part of the problem is, I have an entire chapter on the media in here, not to regurgitate what I did in Unfreedom of the Press, but to update it to American Marxism. What’s going on with the American media is they’re part of it. They’re cheerleading it. They’re spearheading it, in many respects.

Levin discussed how "progressive" education theorist John Dewey was not only influential in America, he and Stalin's Soviet Union had a mutual admiration society going. Dewey went on a grand guided tour of the USSR in 1928. He continued:

LEVIN: The media are so corrupt, and they’re so in the back pocket of this element, of these movements. I mean, let’s think about it. Where in the media do they oppose critical race theory, other than Fox and talk radio and some of the other cable channels. The vast majority of the media promote it, they lie for it, they celebrate it, they bring the radicals on TV to lie about it.

On page 226 of Levin's book, he reprises MRC's Top 10 Worst Cases of Big Tech Censorship in 2020, which begins with the suppression of the New York Post bombshell scoops on Hunter Biden's nepotism marathon of business dealings.

Levin is the author of six consecutive #1 New York Times bestsellers: Liberty and TyrannyAmeritopiaThe Liberty Amendments, Plunder and Deceit, Rediscovering Americanism, and Unfreedom of the Press. That does not mean The New York Times would "lower itself" to an actual book review. (Although they did that for a Kim Kardashian selfie book!)
