Sam Bee Trashes 'Vilest' RedState and Daily Mail, Suggests 'Intimate Recordings' of Trump

Liberal comedian Samantha Bee began Wednesday’s edition of Full Frontal by weighing in on the resignation of Democratic Congresswoman Katie Hill. Bee’s opening monologue took shots at the two conservative websites that published intimate photos of Hill, RedState and the Daily Mail, in addition to guessing that “intimate recordings” of President Trump exist.

Sam Bee claimed that “Hill’s resignation is the right thing to do,” joking that “you should not have sex with the people who work for you, with the exception of Captain Von Trapp,” a character from The Sound of Music. Taking a page out of The New York Times’s playbook, Bee proceeded to portray Hill as a victim. Bee contended that while Hill “is making the right call, she herself is a victim of something disturbing and wrong.”

Following in the footsteps of MSNBC’s Chris Hayes, Bee trashed RedState and the Daily Mail as “two of the vilest, nastiest things to exist on the internet.” Like these sites are nastier than Bee calling Ivanka Trump a “feckless c--t”?

Apparently, Bee hasn’t heard of Salon, which has described the National Anthem as “Neo-Confederate,” warned of “genocidal violence” in the Trump era, and referred to the shooting of Republican Congressman Steve Scalise as “baptism by fire.” The aforementioned comments contained on the liberal website definitely meet the definition of “vile” and “nasty” but maybe Bee only reserves those terms for websites she disagrees with.

While Bee spent the remainder of her monologue making a long argument against revenge porn, she made sure to include swipes at President Trump that trigger applause from her liberal audience. After claiming that “horniness, boredom, greed, and boasting” serve as motivating factors in the publication of revenge porn, Bee described the aforementioned characteristics as the “special skills” section of Trump’s resume.

As the audience erupted into laughter, a fake version of the President’s resume appeared on screen; with the phrases “Daddy’s boy,” “Buildings guy,” “President man,” “Marla,” “Ivana,” and “Melania” appearing under the “experience” section of the resume. It looks like when liberal activists masquerading as comedians run out of ideas, they can always fall back on trashing Trump.

At the end of her monologue, Bee claimed that “if there’s one politician who definitely has intimate recordings he doesn’t want to get leaked, it’s this guy,” as a picture of President Trump appeared in the background. It seems unlikely that Bee would give the same lecture about the horrors of revenge porn if intimate recordings or pictures of the President she despises ever emerged.

Full Frontal With Samantha Bee

10:32 PM

SAMANTHA BEE: Welcome to Full Frontal. I’m Samantha Bee. This weekend, Congresswoman Katie Hill resigned from office after allegations surfaced that she’d had inappropriate relationships with staffers.

DAVID MUIR: Congresswoman Katie Hill was facing an ethics investigation into allegations she had a relationship with a member of her staff. That news coming during a nasty divorce involving nude photos posted on the internet of her.

KYUNG LAH: Hill has admitted to an intimate relationship with a campaign staffer; apologizing, calling it inappropriate. Some Democrats in Hill’s district say personal issues don’t matter in the Trump era.

RYAN MCANANY, DEMOCRATIC VOTER: I’d rather have someone F something than rather F our country.

BEE: God, I can’t tell you how fast I’d vote for a candidate whose slogan was just, “I’ll F something but I won’t F America.”

BEE: Hill’s resignation is the right thing to do. You should not have sex with the people who work for you; unless you are Captain Von Trapp. I make an exception for the captain because he has raw sex appeal, he fights Nazis and you know he hit it good after he saw Maria yodel about goats. So yes, Katie Hill is making the right call but she herself is a victim of something that is disturbing and wrong.

REP. KATIE HILL: I made this decision so that my supporters, my family, my staff, and our community will no longer be subjected to the pain inflicted by my abusive husband and the brutality of hateful political operatives. Some people call this electronic assault digital exploitation. Others call it revenge porn. As the victim of it, I call it one of the worst things that we can do to our sisters and our daughters.

LAUREN CLAFFEY: There is this simultaneous attack against her regarding the revenge porn, regarding the nude photos that have come out in some conservative news sites. That is also egregious, and those people who are doing this to her should also be held accountable, because revenge porn is a crime.

BEE: Hill says her private photos were leaked without her consent by her estranged husband and published by RedState and The Daily Mail; two of the vilest, nastiest things to exist on the internet outside of this tweet from Corn Nuts that says “what’s the craziest place you’ve nutted?” I mean, ate corn nuts. Revenge porn weaponizes people’s sexuality against them and it doesn’t just hurt people living public lives. 12 percent of Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 have had intimate photos shared without their consent. That is horrible.

But also, I am proud to live in a country where people take that many intimate photos of themselves. Get down with your bad self, America! I am sure your nudes look amazing and not at all like uncooked biscuit dough. The issue isn’t with people taking nude pictures. The issue is with the people who share them without consent. You may be thinking, what, aren’t there laws against this? And yes, 46 states do have laws against revenge porn. But those laws don’t always go far enough. The name itself shows you the problem. Revenge porn. In many states, the law forces a victim to prove that the person who released her nudes did so maliciously and that is a very high bar. Revenge is not always the motivation for sharing someone else’s nudes. There’s also horniness, boredom, greed and boasting, which is coincidentally the special skills section of Trump’s resume....

BEE: It would be great if all our state laws took this as seriously as Illinois, and, hey, since the internet doesn’t stop at the state border, a federal law would be great, too. If there’s one politician who definitely has intimate recordings he doesn’t want to get leaked, it’s this guy.
