Jimmy Kimmel to 2020 Dem: 'Do You Think the President Is Crazy?'

Jimmy Kimmel doesn’t really try to be funny these days. His main point is to let you know just how much he hates Donald Trump and looks down on the types of people who would vote for the president.

That was the case on Jimmy Kimmel Live,Tuesday evening, when Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar was a guest, and most of what they joked about was how terrible Donald Trump is, and the host went so far as to wonder whether the Commander in Chief is actually unstable or “crazy.”

As he usually does, the comedian turned virtually every topic into an anti-Trump screed, even when asking the liberal visitor about her efforts to expand coverage of people suffering from poor treatment of mental health or substance addiction.

Of course, the host couldn’t resist asking her: “Will this mental health assistance be available to our Commander in Chief as well? Do you think the President is crazy?

It came as no surprise that the audience laughed and applauded the question, and Klobuchar responded:

I think that the President is not doing his job for this country. I think that he is inconsistent. He’s governing by chaos. He is someone that divides people.

Every single morning, he sends out a tweet that to me, as a leader, you bring people together. Sure they have different views than you do, but your job is to bring them together.

Instead, Trump “likes to create these wedges to keep his base happy going after immigrants, going after people of color, going after John McCain, you know, sending out a doctored video of [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi,” she stated.

“These are not things that a good, strong leader does,” the senior Minnesota senator added.

“So yeah, he’s crazy,” Kimmel replied.

The senator is one of 23 Democratic candidates already running for the White House in the upcoming 2020 election.

NewsBusters has often reported that attacking President Trump is an ongoing tactic by Kimmel.

In mid-March, Kimmel asked another 2020 Democratic candidate -- California Senator Kamala Harris -- if she, after winning the White House, would prosecute Trump and his “hench characters.”

And one month later, the liberal host declared that if Donald Trump wants to arrest juveniles at the country’s southern border, “his sons should be put in cages” instead.
