MSNBC Guest: Cain 'Really Would Have Been Lynched' If He Did This in the 50s or 60s

Since Monday, MSNBC has practically been a 24 hour video loop of sexual harassment related attacks on Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

On Friday's Martin Bashir show, guest Goldie Taylor actually said, "If Herman Cain did what he purportedly did, you know, back in the ’90s with these particular young women in the ’50s and ’60s in this country, he really would have been lynched" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

MARTIN BASHIR, HOST: When you think about the victims in this case, women who were paid something like a year's salary, and had to put up with this, whatever it was, harassment from a senior member of staff, their boss, isn't it dangerous that this narrative is forgetting the impact on these women? These women were victims of the most appalling sexist behavior, alleged behavior.

These women were victims of the most appalling sexist behavior, alleged behavior.

How does Bashir know that? At this point, none of these women has come forward and explained exactly what the supposedly offensive behavior was. So exactly how does Bashir know how appalling it was?

According to Cain, he told some woman who he thought was in her late thirties, early forties that she came up to his chin in height just like his wife.

Is that "the most appalling sexist behavior?"

Not surprisingly, Taylor didn't disagree:

GOLDIE TAYLOR, THEGRIO.COM: You know, there are two things here. Number one: if Herman Cain did what he purportedly did, you know, back in the ’90s with these particular young women in the ’50s and ’60s in this country, he really would have been lynched. So, that's number one.

Number two: if he had done those things to my daughters — my daughters are right about  that age, right out of college, two or three years, early in their career — I’m not sure he’d be able to walk on his own volition or chew his own food if those were my children. So he really got off easy of having to pay $35 or $45,000 in a severance to these young women.

Beyond how disgraceful these comments were, much as with Bashir, how does Taylor know that what Cain allegedly did would have gotten him lynched in the 50s or 60s.

Honestly, what we've been witnessing in the past five days is some of the most atrocious behavior by liberal media members we've yet seen.

We still have absolutely no idea what occurred with these women, and it's quite conceivable that any monetary awards they received were far greater than the actual damage done to them personally or psychologically.

Yet MSNBC and the rest of the media have not only taken the side of the nameless and faceless without any of the facts, they're acting as judge, jury, and executioner armed with nothing more than unsourced allegations.

I'd say I was shocked by what we've seen this week, but with the shills that now populate virtually every so-called news organization in the country, nothing is surprising anymore.
