SNL: Samberg As Emanuel Offers F-bomb Laden Attack On Palin

February 7th, 2010 1:59 PM

In potentially a new broadcast television low, "Saturday Night Live's" Andy Samberg, playing White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, went into an f-bomb laden attack on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin last night.

In what was sarcastically billed as "an even-tempered apology" by Emanuel for his highly-publicized comments concerning some liberal Democrats being "retards," Samberg began by going after these "stupid f**king babies who can't keep their mouths shut."

But the real venom was saved for Palin who Samberg referred to as a "f**king harpy" and a "half a f**king politician."

Samberg concluded by threatening the former governor Facebook style, "Poke me again, and I will write s**t on your wall so obscene your computer will cry" (video embedded below the fold with partial transcript, vulgarity alert):

ANDY SAMBERG AS WHITE HOUSE CHIEF OF STAFF RAHM EMANUEL: As for the progressive Democrats whom I used the term in reference to, I should never have called you that. What I should have called you are f**king babies, stupid f**king babies who can't keep their mouths shut. You went to the Wall Street Journal with this you f**king turncoats? The Wall Street Journal? I'm trying to get s**t done here. I know we're not moving as fast as you want on healthcare, but maybe you notice the Republicans are trying to paint us as Soviet crack dealers. I've already got them crawling up my ass, and now you want in, too? I've got so many legislators in my colon I need 60 votes just to take a s**t. So f**k you!

I'd also like to personally apologize to Sarah Palin who went on Facebook to criticize my comments and ask for my resignation. While my resignation will not be forthcoming, I hope the former governor can accept my humblest apologies for my poor choice of words. So now I'm waiting for your apology you f**king harpy, or do you forget saying my brother Zeke supports death panels, and his philosophy is downright evil? He's a f**king doctor who's dedicated his life to helping people, not a quitter who couldn't finish dinner. Why don't you stick to collecting checks for your stupid Tea Party speeches you half a f**king politician? So you come after me on Facebook? What are you, fourteen? Here's a status update: grow the f**k up! Poke me again, and I will write s**t on your wall so obscene your computer will cry. Go back to the tundra you f**king gimmick!

Honestly, regardless of the bleeps, is this REALLY acceptable content on broadcast television now?

Irrespective of how foolish Emanuel was made to look in this sketch or the comedic intent, is this kind of vulgar attack on one of America's leading political figures what the public should tolerate on the airwaves?
