Then Leave: The View’s 9 Most Anti-American Moments of 2023

December 29th, 2023 4:00 PM

They may work for the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) but that doesn’t mean the liberal ladies of The View show or have much love for America. Throughout the year, they’ve been slinging mud and badmouthing the country they call home, and it has allowed them to rake in millions of dollars while doing it.

And despite most of the cast being very wealthy multimillionaires who can go off and live anywhere in the world – and who claim America is worse than China – they never seem to want to do that. But they’re more than willing to sit around and whine about free speech, decry solid border protection, and reject fair judicial systems for their political opponents.

Presented here are The View’s nine most anti-American moments of 2023.

  1. Whoopi: ‘I Want Outside Countries to Step In,’ Takeover U.S. Border

A surefire way to let people know you’re anti-American is to deny America’s sovereignty as a nation over its borders. Much was the case in July (America’s birth month) when moderator Whoopi Goldberg was interviewing failed Democratic politician Beto O’Rourke and admitted she wanted other countries to take over America’s southern border and administer our immigration policies:

I'm hoping that Amnesty International and all these groups that are outside of us, who are watching, are going to step in also because we are very quick to step in when other countries are not doing the right thing. I want someone to step -- I want outside countries to step in and say, “Hey, listen, we listen when you're talking to us, we're telling you now this doesn't work for the world.”

  1. Whoopi Defends China's Spy Balloon: ‘We Spy on Them. They Spy on Us’

Goldberg’s rejection of America’s sovereignty didn’t just apply to its land borders but also its airspace.

When the Chinese spy balloon was the big story back in February, she defended their efforts to send spy craft over the U.S. “Listen, we spy on them. They spy on us. We find out stuff. They find out stuff. You know. And the world keeps going around,” she nonchalantly proclaimed.

  1. Sunny Hostin: U.S. Is Worse Than China Despite Genocide, Ghana Is Best

Sticking with The View’s love for China, commies actively carrying out a genocide against the Uyghur Muslim minority wasn’t enough for staunchly racist and anti-Semitic co-host Sunny Hostin who said China was a better country because they had fewer black people in jail there.

“Yes, maybe, they’re putting Muslims in jail [in China]. They’re putting more black people in jail here,” she shrieked. And since she sees the world through the prism of a racist, she said Ghana was the best country in the world. “Where I’m not a minority. I felt real good in Ghana,” she proclaimed.

  1. Multimillionaire Hostin Claims She’s ‘Oppressed,’ Wants Books Censored

As NewsBusters’ retrospective of The View’s most heated hateful moments of 2023 demonstrated, Hostin was one of the most racist people on television. She’s so obsessed with race that despite being a multimillionaire with a major television show, she insists she’s “oppressed” by America.

And not only was she oppressed, she despised the First Amendment and wanted popular books censored. “You don't have to call me the N-word for me to understand my oppression. And I think when someone who is oppressed tells you that, I think that you should listen,” she said.

  1. The View Wants Fox News Prosecuted for ‘Recruiting Domestic Terrorists’

Censorship for their political opponents is a common wish for the cast, especially when it comes to the conservatives at Fox News. In March, Goldberg and Hostin wanted the government to prosecute Fox News and accused them of “recruiting domestic terrorists” in their audience:

GOLDBERG: I have a question. I have a question. How come this is not thought of as being recruiting? How come they’re not thinking about this as radicalizing?

HOSTIN: Like recruiting domestic terrorists?

GOLDBERG: Why is this not being scrutinized in the way that they scrutinize other things? Because to me this should be against the law.

  1. The View Bashes 'Radicalized’ Service Members Who Watch Fox News

Keeping with their hatred for Fox News and its viewers, the show smeared America’s service members because it was a popular station on military bases. “[Y[ou know that Fox is broadcasted on military bases. Now, that is a tax-funded facility. Those are tax-funded facilities. They should not be broadcasting lies to our military,” warned co-host Joy Behar.

Hostin said they were being “radicalized” and thus were a threat to the country.

  1. The View Wants Americans to Live With ‘Less’ Like Prison ‘Monks’

The cast also seems to have contempt for their fellow Americans who are not as well off as they are and have the nerve to object to inflation and rising prices. In March (a busy month for The View), they demanded that average Americans learn to live with “less” and be like prison “monks.”

“And that's why monks – who are like the happiest – they’ve sometimes served time in prisons were - due to meditation - they survived and they were at peace and they were able to forgive people; was because they get rid of possessions,” co-host Sara Haines ridiculously argued.

  1. The View Demands Illegals in NYC Be ‘Resettled Elsewhere’ in America

With illegal immigration spiraling out of control, Texas and Florida were forced to send the illegals to the liberal sanctuary cities that were encouraging them to come. And since illegals were being sent to the cast members’ backyards in New York City, they were quite upset and demanded that they be “resettled elsewhere” in America:

ANA NAVARRO: It puts tremendous stress on a city, on a community, on the social services. They need to be resettled elsewhere. They need to be –

HAINES: They need to be spread out. This is a massive country.

  1. The View Decries Thought of Trump Deserving a ‘Fair Trial,’ Want Exile

To round out the list, we have The View’s outrage at the notion that former President Trump should receive his constitutional right to a fair trial.

“And Bill Barr was saying last night, you know, really, the system leans towards making sure he has a fair trial. And that just blew my mind because I don't know how you can let people go to a voting booth when you’re literally under [investigation],” Haines exclaimed.
