MSNBC’s Tur Gets SCHOOLED By Trump Voter on Bernie’s ‘Anti-Life’ Ideology

On the ground in New Hampshire, Katy Tur, or “the MSNBC anchor who knew too little,” spent much of Tuesday stepping on rakes. After making the embarrassingly uninformed claim that people took out 30-year loans to buy cars, Tur tried to downplay Senator Bernie Sanders’s (I) radical ideology but was immediately schooled by a Trump voter she sought comment from.

Prior to getting schooled, Tur spoke glowingly about how the socialist Senator won the state primary back in 2016. “There are New Hampshire voters here who are really excited about Bernie Sanders,” she said. “And they think that he's not divisive and that they think that he's got good ideas and they believe he’s somebody who can accomplish those ideas, they’re the die-hard Bernie supporters.”

According to her, the reason people were scared of his policies was because they were too bold. “But then there are those who look at him and say, ‘I'm just not so sure about him. He kind of scares me. Those ideas are too big. I don't see how he could get them done with this Congress that we have, especially if the Republicans still control the Senate.’ They don't see it as plausible,” she suggested.

The embarrassing train wreck began when Tur followed up her assertions by looking off-camera and singling out a voter who was watching her and her crew:

TUR: We have a voter out here. Sir, you were watching so you're going to be on television now. Can you tell us who you voted for?

UNIDENTIFIED MAN: Donald John Trump.

TUR: You voted for Donald John Trump.

UNIDENTIFIED MAN: Yeah.

TUR: Bernie Sanders is not appealing to you?

The whole ideology would be destructive to the country. It’s anti-growth, it's anti-family. It's anti-American. And as a Roman Catholic, it’s anti-life,” the man told her.

Tur immediately ended the interview and desperately tried to find someone to save the segment. After talking with two New Hampshire voters who refused to share who they voted for, Tur called it quits and admitted she was “striking out.”

NICOLLE WALLACE: Bernie is going to tell us how he really feels about Donald Trump at a letter point in time. Katy Tur, even from Bernie Sanders a surprisingly harsh anti-Trump closer here for the New Hampshire voters? Katy.

KATY TUR: Well, it depends. There are New Hampshire voters here who are really excited about Bernie Sanders. And they think that he's not divisive and that they think that he's got good ideas and they believe he’s somebody who can accomplish those ideas, they’re the die-hard Bernie supporters. He won this state in 2016.

But then there are those who look at him and say, “I'm just not so sure about him. He kind of scares me. Those ideas are too big. I don't see how he could get them done with this Congress that we have, especially if the Republicans still control the Senate.” They don't see it as plausible.

But I want to talk -- we have a voter out here.

UNIDENTIFIED MAN: The whole ideology would be destructive to the country. It’s anti-growth, it's anti-family. It's anti-American. And as a Roman Catholic, it is anti-life.

TUR: Sir, thank you so much for telling us who you voted for. We appreciate it. Let's ask these other folks over here as well.
