CNN’s Toobin Lashes Out at Kavanaugh and Anti-Woman Republicans

As soon as Thursday’s Kavanaugh show trial in the Senate Judiciary Committee was wrapped up, the liberal media was off to the races with their breathless pontifications of how it went. From CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin came a stream of bitter attacks against the Supreme Court nominee and the Republican Senators.

While CBS News was admitting that the debate was over and Kavanaugh was destined for the Supreme Court, the panel on CNN was suggesting we were merely back at the beginning. “Dana [Bash], I think, is exactly right that from a political perspective, we may be where we were at the beginning of the day. However, as an evidentiary matter, we're not,” Toobin argued.

According to Toobin, the American people had heard from two vastly different kinds of people during the hearing, a meek Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and a raging monster in Kavanaugh:

However, as an evidentiary matter, we're not. We have heard a woman who has no motive to lie, who has no reason to come forward, who does not have a political agenda, who has been keeping this secret except in certain very limited circumstances, giving a vivid and dramatic and highly believable description of a sexual assault by this nominee for the supreme court.

We have then heard from a belligerent, angry, enraged Brett Kavanaugh, challenging United States Senators about how much they drink. I mean, I think that actually is relevant to what the judgment is.

Of course, Toobin would overlook the moments where Kavanaugh was overcome with emotion and was choking back tears.

Toobin then trained his sights onto the 11 Senate Republican men on the committee and thrashed them as woman abusers. He suggested that they refused to defend Kavanaugh’s honesty and chose to attack a woman instead.

They attacked another woman, Dianne Feinstein. She's the real villain here because she didn't handle the procedure properly. I mean, you know, it happens over and over again. There's always some woman to attack and the woman always loses in this group,” he decried.

At one point, Toobin admitted that there wasn’t “proof beyond a reasonable doubt” that Kavanaugh committed the alleged sexual assault. Yet he asserted that a parent shouldn’t trust their kids with him. “If someone said to you ‘You know we’re looking to hire a babysitter but he was accused by three different people of sexual assault,’ would you hire this babysitter to serve as the next 30 years as the babysitter for your kids,” he ridiculously wondered.

TOOBIN: And what did the 11 Republicans men on the Senate do? Did they defend Brett Kavanaugh's honesty? No. They attacked another woman, Dianne Feinstein.
