Indignant Cuomo Claims Trump ‘Hates’ America, Wishes Ill on Media

It’s no secret that the hosts on CNN have a deep-seated hatred for President Trump, but rarely do they let their true feelings flow out of them like a broken faucet. That’s exactly what happened on Thursday when CNN host Chris Cuomo ended his eponymous Cuomo PrimeTime show with an indignant and obnoxious tirade against the President because he sent out another tweet criticizing the press as “the real enemy of the people.”

After reading the tweet, Cuomo mocked how “ugly” and “unoriginal” it was. “But most importantly, it is an admission that you hate your country,” he bitterly spat. The raging CNN host then proceeded to connect Trump’s use of the phrase to murderous regimes from world history:

You know this phrase was an operative threat to murder opposition in the French revolution, right? You know Khrushchev identified the phrase as part of a campaign to annihilate individuals, literally, who disagreed with the supreme leader. His predecessor, Stalin used it specifically with artists and thinkers that threatened his narrow views of humanity. Did you know Mao used it during his murderous campaigns?

America, the country you lead, was formed in defiance of strongmen, bullies, and the idea that might makes right,” he declared. Except that America was founded to defend liberty and the rights of the individual. Judging by media’s staunch opposition to the GOP tax cuts, they were more like King George. And based on how much they disdain criticism from outside their own walls (such as the blog you're currently visiting), they're -- how shall we put it -- thin-skinned individuals.

If Cuomo was really against bullies, he would examine how his network underhandedly threatened to reveal a Reddit user’s identity because he created an unsavory meme about them, effectively blackmailing him. And earlier this year, CNN tracked down an old lady and harassed her because they suspected she spread Russian propaganda on Facebook. The old lady was then subjected to constant threats and additional harassment by rabid liberals at her home.

Cuomo probably got CNN Media reporter Brian Stelter all hot and heavy when he glorified the liberal media and proclaimed that THEY were what made America the greatest country on earth:

A free press is a metaphor for what makes America great. So, you have now admitted that you are against what we are all about. And the real problem now is for you to convince people that you don't hate what makes America truly great.

Cuomo followed up with a massive low blow, suggesting that President Trump didn’t care whether members of the press lived or died. “I know in the past, you've tried to play that you respect the media, and that you know we're important,” he scoffed. “You know, like you said that when a bunch of us got murdered! But it didn't take long to come back to this. I knew you didn't lower those flags after the Maryland newspaper shooting right away for a reason.

How pathetic. Earth to Chris Cuomo: the First Amendment doesn't revolve around you!

Again blowing smoke for the media, Cuomo opined about how the media, especially the American media, were adept at taking down tyrants like the ones he previously linked Trump too. “The real worry should be for you. Do you really think people will keep a president who hates what their country is all about,” Cuomo concluded.

This was a man letting loose in a self-serving and vendetta-driven diatribe against someone he viewed as a political opponent. He even made it clear he was looking forward to his target being expelled from office. This was not #FactsFirst. This was not objective reporting. This is CNN.

CHRIS CUOMO: All right, here's my closing argument. This tweet was bad for you, Mr. President. Here it is. "The summit with Russia was a great success.” Nobody thinks that. “Except with the real enemy of the people, the fake news media.”

This is ugly and it is unoriginal. But most importantly, it is an admission that you hate your country. How so? Here's the case.

America, the country you lead, was formed in defiance of strongmen, bullies, and the idea that might makes right. A free press is a metaphor for what makes America great. So, you have now admitted that you are against what we are all about. And the real problem now is for you to convince people that you don't hate what makes America truly great.

I know in the past, you've tried to play that you respect the media, and that you know we're important. You know, like you said that when a bunch of us got murdered! But it didn't take long to come back to this. I knew you didn't lower those flags after the Maryland newspaper shooting right away for a reason. Just like you won't really own how Russia did the U.S. dirty in the election. Why? Because you see things through the lens of what is good for you in these matters.

So right now, you want people to hate us. But as the old expression goes, you point a finger at someone else, and there are three pointing back at you, and a thumb that's kind of nowhere defending where you put it but that's not the point. The point is to say Putin isn't the enemy, the free press is, doesn't worry me. I know the truth. I've traveled the world and I know our media is envied and, perhaps, the best check against the abuse of power that can lead to a Stalin or a Mao.

The real worry should be for you. Do you really think people will keep a president who hates what their country is all about?

That’ s the closing argument for us.
