MSNBC's Reverend Al Sharpton Rains Praise: 'Thank God We Lived In the Age of Obama'

Reverend Al Sharpton is back to making outlandish statements, this time, praising President Obama for his “accomplishments” while in office, even going so far as thanking God we “lived in the age of Obama.”

Sharpton used his Sunday-sermon airtime on MSNBC’s Politics Nation to gush about the Messiah of the liberal left, just days away before he leaves the White House for good.

"I am so proud of President Barack Obama not just because he was and is my color, but because he was America's kind…He helped this country like no president I've seen in my lifetime. We should thank God we lived in the age of Obama."

Talk about a slobbering love-fest. That’s so sugary sweet I think I feel a cavity coming on.

Sharpton urged the few viewers watching his show to show “concern” regarding the future of the country when President-elect Donald Trump takes over later this week after his inauguration.  Sharpton continued, talking about the so-called accomplishments of Obama’s presidency:

"Barack Obama, president for eight years, turned around the economy…Took it when it was on the brink and turned around an economy that was bleeding 800,000 jobs a month.”

Someone should’ve reminded Sharpton that during the Obama years, the number of Americans below the poverty line went up 3.5 percent, real median household income down 2.3 percent, and the number of Americans on food stamps went from 33 million to 46 million, up 39.5 percent, or that Obama is the only U.S. chief executive in history not to preside over even a single year with 3 percent GDP growth.

He even touched on Obama's “work” on criminal justice and police reform.

"He did what presidents before him failed to do…He passed a healthcare law that was able to benefit over 20 million Americans. He also dealt with concrete steps around climate change."

Again, someone should’ve reminded Sharpton that the “Affordable” Care Act was exactly the opposite, with increases in premiums and less coverage, those kicked off their original insurance plans, and one of the biggest Pinocchio of all– if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.  But I guess when you’re a tax-evading, race-baiting “reverend” who was somehow given a cable news show, you can say anything you want.

PS: Sharpton even worried about “fake news” – yes, a shameless purveyor of the Tawana Brawley hoax is claiming outrage. On the show, he told Bill Press “When I say it`s unprecedented. Have we seen a president or an administration decide what`s going to be fake news and what they dismiss in terms of answering? Because there has been fake news before. All of us have gone through that.”
