Soledad O'Brien Hints Social Conservative Group Should Commit Suicide

On Thursday, Al Jazeera America's Soledad O'Brien posted an incendiary and snarky reply on Twitter to a headline from a homosexual news website claiming that a social conservative Christian organization had concluded that it is "better to die than live in pro-gay world."

Anthony M. Brown, one of the subjects of her left-wing propaganda flick for CNN, "Gary and Tony Have a Baby", forwarded this misleading headline on the social media site. O'Brien quoted Brown's Tweet, and added her own two cents:

The journalist, who has a long record of leftward slant from her time at CNN, thus gave the impression that she was giving her approval to the premature demise of social conservatives.

Brown's Tweet linked to a Wednesday article from the Gay Star News website. Writer Joe Morgan hyped in his lede that a "Christian political organization has said it is better to die than live in a world welcoming of gay people." Morgan pointed to a recent post from the website of The Family Leader organization, which documented some recent examples of LGBT activists targeting orthodox Christians for preaching and defending their faith's traditional sexual morality.

Near the end of the post, the unnamed writer for The Family Leader asked a rhetorical question:

What will you do?  Will you give in to their agenda by saying and doing nothing? Or will you lead yourself, your family, your church, and your community? Our nation, our children need leadership. What you choose will impact generations to come.

To paraphrase a quote from Winston Churchill: "If you do not fight when you have a chance of winning, you will eventually fight when you have no hope of winning, because it will be better to die than to live."

Morgan sloppily spun this paraphrase as the organization saying its "better to die than live in pro-gay world."

O'Brien wasn't alone in her anti-conservative snark. Several people replied to her Tweet with a similar attitude. One wrote, "Good riddance, let alone for the anti-gay attitude." Another later added, "You won't be missed!" As if further proof was needed that "tolerance" is a one-way street for too many on the left.
