Concern-Trolling Scarborough to Trump: 'You're Not Well, Let Pence Run Things'

In a transparent ploy to shift the focus from a doddering Joe Biden now beset with a serious allegation of sexual assault, Joe Scarborough did his best today to suggest that President Trump was not mentally "well," should "get checked out, take a rest," and "let Mike Pence run things."

Scarborough first criticized President Trump for tweeting about Joe himself. After then rapping Trump for his comments on Presidents Obama and George W. Bush among other subjects, Scarborough launched into his concern-trolling spiel. In his best faux, oh-so-serious, voice, Scarborough recited what seemed to be a canned statement:

Mr. President, I ask that you get checked out. I ask that you take a rest. I ask that you take care of yourself. Maybe let Mike Pence run things for the next week. You’re not well. Let Mike Pence work with Dr. Fauci, work with Dr. Birx. It’d be best for you politically. It would be best for the country medically. It'd be best for the Republican party politically.

. . .

Mr. President, you’re getting worse every day. You need to take a rest. You need to let Mike Pence actually run things for the next couple of weeks. And come back when you’re feeling a little better and when you can really, actually, focus on your job. Because you just can’t do that right now. And Americans are dying every day because of it.

Dream on, Joe! President Trump will never drink from the poisoned chalice you proffered.

But if even a handful of voters are swayed by his shtick, Scarborough will consider it a good day's work done.
