Kimmel Unhinged: 'Deep Down' My Critics 'Know' They 'Bear Responsibility' for Massacre

ABC’s late night host Jimmy Kimmel doubled down against his conservative critics on his Tuesday night show, after smearing Republicans, gun owners and Donald Trump the night before, for not doing enough to stop the Las Vegas massacre. For his ten-minute-long tirade against the right, he earned an avalanche of media praise from virtually every network. But even that didn’t drown out the criticism he also received for spreading such malicious lies and skewed information.

Apparently not having unanimous praise for his unfactual, partisan critique irritated Kimmel so much that he had to take another nasty swipe at the right again, this time more forcefully.

Kimmel opened his Tuesday night show by calling his critics “nuts” who were only angry because he had rightly noted they were “responsible” for the massacre.

I want to say a special hello to those watching from Las Vegas. You know what happened Sunday night. I'm not going to get deep into it again tonight. I said what I wanted to say last night.

But I do want to say something to these nuts who spent most of the day today on television and online attacking those of us who think we need to do something about the fact that 59 innocent people were killed. They say it is inappropriate to be talking about it because it’s too soon. Maybe it is too soon for you because deep down inside, you know, in your heart, you know you bear some responsibility for the fact that almost anyone can get any weapon they want and now you want to cover yourself until the storm of outrage passes. You can go back to your dirty business as usual. It is not too soon for us. We're Americans. Last time I checked, the First Amendment is at least as important as the Second Amendment.

Amidst audience applause, Kimmel ended his rant by “shaming” his critics:

“So shame on you for suggesting we do otherwise,” Kimmel blasted.
