Former First Lady has granted CBS Sunday Morning an exclusive interview, and the first promotional nugget has caused a media scramble. Jill Biden, aided and abetted by the Elitist Media, appears to want to revise history as it pertains to the 2024 presidential election.

Watch as ABC World News Tonight uncritically runs a brief on that interview portion, right before coming out of A-block:

WHIT JOHNSON: A stunning admission from former First Lady Jill Biden during an interview with CBS. Mrs. Biden reveals that she was frightened by President Biden's performance in the 2024 debate against Donald Trump. She says she thought he was having a stroke and had never seen him like that before. He dropped out of the race a month later.

ABC viewers don’t actually get to watch Biden’s remarks. Instead, they get an paraphrased executive summary from fill-in anchor Whit Johnson. 

CBS isn’t much better here. We get one sentence from Biden, and a tease for the full Sunday interview:

TONY DOKOUPIL: For the first time, former First Lady Jill Biden is saying what was going through her head as she watched her husband's disastrous performance in that 2024 presidential debate.

JILL BIDEN: As I watched it I thought, “oh, my God, he's having a stroke.” And it scared me to death.

TOM LLAMAS: All right, Gabe, let’s turn to another big headline and more insight into the consequential moments of the 2024 campaign. President Biden's disastrous debate performance there and new comments from former First Lady Jill Biden?

JILL BIDEN: I was frightened because I had never, ever seen Joe like that before or since. (VIDEO SWIPE) As I watched it I thought, “oh, my God, he's having a stroke.” And it scared me to death.

LLAMAS: And Gabe, Democrats are still reckoning with that debate?

GABE GUTIERREZ: Yes, Tom. It was not even referenced in the recent DNC autopsy. And the issue of transparency is now threatening to loom over the midterms, particularly because her answer is so different from what we heard from top Democrats at the time. Tom.

To his credit, Gabe Gutierrez mentions both the exclusion of the debate in the 2024 DNC autopsy, and the variance in messaging at the time. Do also note that NBC ran the lengthiest clip of Jill Biden, wherein she says she’s “never, ever seen Joe like that before or since,” which is hard to believe.

Gutierrez also calls out the variance in messaging. At the time, Democrats (with the media’s help) were running the “sharp as a tack” narrative, and calling out undoctored videos of Biden’s D-Day woes as “cheapfakes.” The debate debacle is what forced people to drop the charade. 

The question remains: why do this now?  First of all, to attempt to rehabilitate Biden’s legacy. Second, to enable decline attacks against President Donald Trump, which we’re already seeing given the Strange New Concern over presidential health. It’s really that simple.

Exit question: if Dr. Jill was so worried Joe would stroke out, why did she trot him out to the post- debate rally before hitting Waffle House?
